From my 3k brain's perspective: enemy mid was storm which is a ranged hero, so you may get clapped if u come too close trying to Q which means its better off lvl-ing E early on

Before the patch, it had a built-in heal, which makes up for getting close to cast it while getting right-clicked (mainly against range heroes) in return. It still does good damage tho

@@larsstureanderson7781 at level 2-3 you cast it way enough to stay safe and fuck the enemy' no point to level e unless you are going to take the whole farm from your toplaner

Ember Spirit has no massive major power spikes, he gradually snowballs. Difficult to lane with at lower levels, heavily reliant on runes until level 6. It's fundamentals hard mode since you have to get used to pulling aggro, creep equilibrium, gank timings, and monitoring power spikes of your team. He's not like Void spirit or qop who goes to a lane, instagibs someone, then goes back to mid. It's one of the most nuanced heroes in terms of hero basics and macro game fundamentals. Very easy to lose lane as a bad ember, and even the best embers have a hard time winning mid against a bad catchup, but it teaches you a lot about how to turn a losing lane into a winning game. Great hero to master.

imho as a fellow QOP enjoyer on Hero Lvl 30 and blue arcana, playing for mass wave with KayaSange, -45 Seconds Wave Talent and Octarine yields the most dmg. Provided you land a 3+ hero wave constantly. Completing the build I mostly go for Bloodstone on Masochist face, since it heals you up so much more, especially in combo with KayaSange.
