I also prefer the NA set. To me they look better in both modes and pegs together better in vehicle mode as well. The MS bots do have tighter joints, but loose joints are easy to take care of at this scale. I actually do like the MS versions of these bots, but I'd have to give NA the win on this competition.

They are just so cute together. I've been buying up all the legends too these days. They all look so good

Here's the funny thing with scale, if you compare it to the official scaling, they're both a little too oversized.

I saw that the NA set was back up for pre-order on ShowZ, so I assume they're re-issuing them. So far I've only gotten a couple of MS figures as far as my 3P collection goes. The size of the NewAge figures here is not good for my heart. They're too cute!

MS Cliffjumpers alt mode looks like the car Mr Bean uses but red. New Age versions looks better to me, but considering as far as i know its their 2nd attempt of the characters, so they should be better than somebody elses 1st attempt. MS isnt bad by any means, but their alt modes kinda bugs me when you follow the car lines from the back it just stops and droops down when it comes to the windscreen, looks unfinished to me. But just as you said in the video they do have better looking feet. Being so tiny i just cant help reminisce of when Turtles went that way too, kinda funny its coming again about 30 years later. But since they are so small, this time it would definitely benefit of a comparison to the original toy, to highlight how much the technology has advanced and what they can do with the characters now but in what i suspect an even smaller size than those penny racers

Man, after watching the last one on the new age characters, I had to see your comparison. I’m just getting into these little guys, I did order mechfans toys octane and am now thinking about these guys and the magic square menasor characters. Don’t want to overdo it until I know if collecting this size is what I want to do but I’m pretty darn excited. :)

I know in at least a few scenes if not the majority that Bumblebee only comes up to Prime's knees.

I think the NewAge ones are more for the third party Legends. The Magic Square ones are more like the MechFansToys... And I know of the Hot Soldiers ones, but they are more for the CHUG and Earthrise...

Awesome Comparison, Thanks for showing these beside each other. Now that I do see them together I much prefer the look of the Newage ones, but I find them too small. I think I will pass on these all together, I have Newage Flipper and I like that little bot in spite of him not having working wheels.

Haven't got my newage set yet. I mean i like em but the size is starting to get on my nerves. I wish they would've started flipper at a normal legends 3-4" and then scaled the rest of the bots appropriately. Scream at almost deluxe size would've been badass considering how good he came out

I agree about Newage taking the lead. The main thing that killed the MS version for me was Cliff Jumper's derpy face lol.

I don’t mind MS Bumblebee, but I really hate the reused windscreen on CJ’s alt mode on MS. The angle is too vertical. I much prefer NA as these are more like the original penny racers, and the robot modes from those alt modes is the stuff of my childhood dreams. So I’m all in on NA here.

Great review ! I own the New set and the Magic Square Cliffjumper but skipped on the MS Bee. YES, NA def wins this one! The sculpted G1 design in both modes is fantastic, the paint apps are beautiful, engineering is excellent, transformation is so neat and nigh close to a Masterpiece quality! I personally think MS should have did a 2pack set like NewAge did! It was a smart move for NewAge to sell both of these iconic mini bot characters together!

Both Cliffjumpers look so dull and unimaginative next to Iron Factory's 'Mini One Man Army' - at least to me. I don't really understand the slavish devotion to the least interesting character designs in Transformers history - but I suppose it's good that the option is there for those who want toys that look like the American cartoon.

Quite surprised. I’ve just sold my NA off as I prefer MS in bot mode. It’s the back of the ankle and they’re too small. It’s a shame as everything g else is so good.

Newage all the way for me...just too small really. You know we're gonna get remakes though. If there is one thing I've learned over the last 40 years of Transformers, it's, a reissue and a remake is as sure to come, as night follows day...lol..

Really, fake part, big feet and back over a derpy face. The only good thing about NA are the headsculpt and the alt mode IMO and I do not buy my figures for alt mode G1 looks, MST for sure but life would be boring if we all like the same stuff. NA is just not for me with the latest releases

Hey Deluxe, we met briefly at the Chicago TFcon. I had a mask on. Anyway...while this newer Bumblebee from New Age beats their previous one, those feet make the MP Bumblebee's feet look good. They are huge! New Age does have better head sculpts, but their arms are short. Too bad they couldn't get some of the mass of the feet to the arms. Are you going to the LA TFcon?
