Armadillo is honestly an amazing player. I want him to go to more tournaments

Cool fact, Armadillo has said he doesn't like the way aura works and it's not the reason he plays lucario. He plays lucario cause he loves the crazy movement and stuff he can do like wavebounce charge shot into bair. He thinks it would be better if aura wasn't as strong but the character was also less bad without it. Also great job Armadillo you deserve it!

Love seeing Lucario. He was one of the hardest characters for me to wrap my head around, but after getting to his somewhat weird moves, and learning how to love aura, and he flows and plays like no one else and it's hard to stop playing him.

4:50 if you tap shield for less than 4 frames you don't get shield coming out, thats how he does it. All charge shots characters can do it I think. You see Sheiks do it all the time as well

Finally, Lucario is proven viable. Not broken, but viable. Repeatedly we see random characters, that were completely written off, do well all of the sudden. This is why I love Smash. Honestly, I love ESAM. He is open minded and isn't someone to ignore your opinion just because you don't have major wins on your belt. Love the guy.

Buffering lucario dair is actually a weird yet functional two frame. You only go up just enough to be airborne, and due to that the hits hit super far below ledge

this is why I love watching pools at majors. you get to see underrated players all the time and it's so fun to start rooting for them once you've watched them a couple times. like I remember watching Armadillo almost beat Jake once and ever since then I always get excited to watch him play. and that leads to awesome moments whenever they go on a crazy run cause you were watching the whole thing

I went to collision as my first major and Armadillo asked me to play friendlies, its crazy to see him now make top 8 at at such a huge event, very epic tho I'm a big Lucario enjoyer =)

If lucario down air spiked, it would be the best two frame hands down. Lasts awhile, hits super far below ledge when buffered, and aura.

I have good SDI, my friend struggles to even get drag downs on me.. People I face can't get landing multi hits to confirm.. This man Armadillo makes me look like I can't SDI. The man's is INSANE and I love seeing it. People don't practice it enough.

People rank Lucario too low because of his learning curve. But once you get the hang of his move set and use him on a consistent basis, he is definitely a competitively viable fighter.

i love lucario, stealing stocks with random back-airs is SO satisfying… and gettin those reads with side-b as well… only thing i dont like is some of his normal moves are kinda weird, like jab, down-air and forward-air, forward-air can combo but like… its just ok at it.

Cancelling Aura Charge is just pressing the shield button fast enough for the shield to not appear. Pretty sure every charge shot character can do that.

Esam, you are amazing every time you are proven wrong and proceed to say you were wrong and further-become excited about the truth. You are a great role model here and have one proud subscriber. Not a fan of pop-offs and pop-off culture-wish ppl could treat this more sportslike and not bury their opponent by dancing on top of them after they are done. I may be really old fashioned and wrong here. I would love to see a set with you vs Armadillo if you could find a way to make that happen for a video. I'm curious how your IC would work vs them and your Brawler. Mostly I want to see how hard it is for Pika to play vs Lucario. LUCARIO IS OP: CHANGE MY MIND Reasons: -Fair Loops are stupid offstage -Bair just kills -Dash Attack is like links nair, it can block any projectile -Up tilt can clash with airborne attacks and is a great anti-air -Great floaty jumps -OP airdodge -Counter -Aura Mechanic is so op -Up B is basically impossible to predict since you can do all sorts of curves and stuff, so you cant edge guard him -

Idk if lucario is truly good, but i feel like he’s one of if not the weirdest/most unique character in the game. Floaty movement, aura as a comeback mechanic, and a charge shot where the charge up is arguably more threatening than the projectile itself. No characters truly plays like he does, i just don’t know if what he does is good

I like lucario because A. 2nd most popular Pokémon in the world and B. Forward air chains go brrrrr

I don't understand why people think Lucario is bad. I don't see weakness as big as ganon or mac but Lucario is often just above those two in many TL...

The main weakness of Lucario is that he’s in Smash Ultimate, so by playing well enough to where you avoid many of those conditions where Lucario, like most other characters in Ultimate, just explode, you can definitely get a lot more mileage off of Aura and, by proxy, Lucario becomes a way better character because he gets way more opportunities to take advantage of the factors that are supposed to make up for his flaws, which is how we end up in situations like this where Lucario just goes on insane runs out of nowhere. Good shit to Armadillo, can’t wait to see what the future holds for him.

Lucario is a good character, not enough ppl play him. We’ve seen this over and over with “low tiers” actually turning out to be good with the right pilot. I HATE tier lists because they’re super subjective and rarely accurate.
