Protobanham's Lucina is definitely one the best in the WORLD!
The Lucina combos are insane. His play style is aggressive and hardly ever gives opponents a chance to breathe. Pay special attention to Lucina's edge guarding. Protobanham's lucina does an excellent job.

MK Leo's Lucina is fun to watch. But still, when facing the top players (Nairo, Light, Maister, Tweek ...) he switches back to Joker. While Protopanham could use Lucina to battle and won the top players. His Lucina has a frightening, tricky and constant attacks, making her so powerful and joyful to watch. I agree this is the best Lucina I've seen.

There's a lot I can learn from this video, but here's a start: It looks like I rely too hard on Side-B. I use it very often as it's an easy multi hit which is easier to land than jabs or tilts, but the end lag on Side-B is often my downfall. This professional player often only uses it as an air stall, which I've never tried before.

I had a dream where I went against Protobanham for top 5 at Evo 2020 in a Lucina ditto, Game 1 pretty much in his favor, 2 stock, game 2 VERY CLOSE I mean heart pounding close, I win. x.x. Game 3 we both were patient, but I was being pressured into disadvantage late, and I went to recover, but fell short of the ledge, (auto cling just chose not to happen) on stream you just see me hang my head in utter disappointment, and then I woke up. Dude is a huge inspiration to me for Lucina, I really hope he continues grinding.

I have a question y’all. I’m a marth main and I was wondering if marth can execute the same consistent combos that Lucina can do? Just curious because her combos are so clean and crisp and i wanna potentially bust those combos out with Marth’s sour spots.

I know this is late, but marth and lucina’s combos are very different because of marth’s sweet and sour spots. Most of marth’s combos are either sours to sours, or sours to sweets. Lucina having the balanced blade makes it much easier and more consistent to combo, which is why she’s the better character in this game.

Any reason Proto does many pummels and lets the opponent wiggle out? Is it advantageous to have them do that or is he missing out on damage?

Sorry for the late reply, but it is so he can unstale his main killing moves. Lucina doesn’t have a lot of good multi hits so pummel is the best option to reset the stale counter.

How does he down air right off the ledge like that? I know the pressing back trick to pop off it with a nair or fair but i can't down air without using a jump for some reason. Down air being the most risky/laggy to recover afterwards- I could really use this trick in my arsenal if anyone can help. #lucinaMAIN4life

If you're not using tilt stick youre likely causing yourself to fast fall while you Dair. Try using the tilt stick if you arent already to dair without fast falling

he just push down when he is grabbing the legde , then push jump and rapidly chain with down air to spike , it is really technical

To be honest, it's not that hard to be decent with Lucina. especially since she covers so much space with little effort when she swings that sword with no real downside.

@Gachi Gachi i agree lucina is awfully usable and tbh i am so at ease when i use her but this level of lucina is something else cause the whay the dude put pression is crazy , it is even like he dont think about what he is doing , it all looks like reflexes

With good spacing, Lucina is almost unhittable when she swings that sword with no downside to doing just that, and as a matter of fact, we're watching a video of just that. You might be a Lucina main, tho, so i get the hostility😂😂😂

MKLeo needs to use Lucina more, but I think also, Proto needs to come to more American tournaments. Eventually one of them would win with her, betting on Leo before Proto though. Cause he does come to more tourneys. Proto cause he uses Lucina more.
