I am traveling from Michigan to Carolina for thanksgiving. I want to make this like I have the last couple years, but I’m not sure I’ll have that much time/space on the day. Can this be premade to a certain point, and finished or reheated on the day? Or can I make it on the stove and put it in a crockpot/warmer instead of using the oven?

Really weird you mentioned the skin color of you and your kids. Extra weird the inference that it took a recipe by a black chef to satisfy your daughter. It happens to be a standard Mac n cheese recipe using a Mornay Sauce like people have been using for hundreds of years. There is nothing whatsoever novel about it except he likes to add a certain seasoning.

We just made this awesome dish. Normally I would have to salt and pepper my macs and cheese. The creole seasoning give’s that kick and salted taste. Thanks AB!

A really good recipe! Already made this quick and easy recipe and added just a few crispy bacon bits on top right after taking out of the oven! Can we say “It’s sooooooo good!” Thank You for showing “how to” with this delicious Creamy Mac N Cheese!

That definitely looks delicious. The seasoning makes the dish even better. I like to add fresh herbs when I have them. Soul food does not need a lot of ingredients. It just needs to be done right and shared with good company.

Soul food needs A LOT of seasoning. Not enough seasoning here at all. Can't really call it soul food but then again, this guy is from the West Coast so not the place where soul food was born

Ok so I am the family mac & cheese person since mom's passed and I had a recipe but I'm going to try this out this year on the folks..this and your peach cobbler. Nothing I have made from your recipes has failed yet! They're going to LOVE THIS! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
