Here's how I would solve this villager problem, instead of stealing and leaving, simply become apart of their village and expand it to new heights. Rather than becoming a thief you can become a respected ruler who took their humble village and raised it to greatness. Use your iron golems to defend the village and spread your influence to other villages until you control an empire spanning countless biomes.
