i got goosebumps watching the Laotians scream for joy and beam with pride for their historic first placement in MU history. I can imagine her triumphant homecoming. Life will never be the same for her. May she stay grounded and be the voice for her people

You guys (the Miss Laos Universe staff) showed so much love and care for Payingxa. Your kindness and professionalism will never be forgotten. Without you, Payingxa would not get the chance to walk on the Miss Universe stage. Lao and Hmong working together will always show some sort of great progress and success at the end. These staff didn't make me cry, but my tears kept falling when I saw their happiness. Payingxa is cute, beautiful and smart, but she is just too young to compete with those older girls. If she is 25 or 27 years old this year for this competition, she'll be the greatest.

People doesn't understand what "just placing" can represent for some countries. A lot of fans complaining because a "big favorite" doesn't make the cut. They are accustomed to see their country placing almost every year. But some fans have to wait years just to hear their country's name. Some of them are still waiting.
