I just purchased the Apple Studio Display and SUPER glad to hear it tops your list. I read a lot of reviews about the camera, but it seems very functional to me. I also have an LG UltraFine 5K Display which I have moved to my other office and the sound quality on the Apple Studio Display is FAR superior to the LG. Also, when I wake up my Mac, the Apple Studio Display is instantly on while when connected to the LG UltraFine 5K Display there is a delay in the monitor coming on and while it is not a long delay, it is very noticeable. With the G UltraFine 5K Display when trying to access items in the dock I frequently have to click in the area to get the dock to come up, but with the Apple Studio Display it is instantaneous! So far I am happy with the purchase and glad I "splurged" on getting the height adjustable add-on as it has come in very handy. As alway, thank you G. Griffin Jones and Cult of Mac for providing such useful information.

Hi there, which screen would you recommend for a mid 2014 macbook pro 15 inch with a Nvidia Gf GT 750m? I can only connect it with thunderbolt or display port. Would you recommend a 4k or WQHD due to the maximum possible resolution of the GT 750m. I like 32 inch monitors Thanks in advance

I love my Studio Display! The built-in speakers are amazing. It's expensive, but the only other 5k display out there is almost the same price with less brightness, a plastic build, and a chin.

I have a 42” LG C2 OLED and it’s beautiful which I picked up for $800. The Studio Display is overpriced, you’re in the minority saying it’s the #1 option.

"Retina Display" is more or less only Apple branding. And the proposition of "four pixels" where there is "one" is a bit misleading. For text (and MacOS rendered objects) MacOS simply multiplies by 2 in both directions when rendering. The impact of the higher density monitors, about 220 pixels/inch, which is what Apple means by "Retina", is that the angular resolution of the human eye *at normal viewing distance* is unable to differentiate individual pixels.

To recommend the studio display is complete nonsense, Samsung and LG have come up with better for less cost. As per the previous, whilst the presenter’s independence from Apple is questionable his genetics when it comes to hair is not.

I don't want to sound rude, but this was an awful video, its like a guy googled the information, then just read it out to us who were super needed a monitor for our macbooks. where the pixel denisty, can it do 4k, whats the best place to get it, any good dell, or aoc, or asus monitors that are compatible with macs
