I bought my Sirui 204S shortly after you posted this video review. It's a brilliant piece of kit and I have only just realised that I forgot to thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Also just an observation, I also have the Sirui P-204S and the spare bumper is for when you separate the monopod from the mini tripod, you can have a second bumper or spike to use on the monopod portion while keeping one on the mini tripod portion. Sweet! And it's actually pronounced soo-ray, for some reason. :)

nice video, Larry... i would like to have seen some equipment on the head, but you did a great job leaning on it which gave the impression it was rock solid! As an aside, thanks for leaving mile's presentation n the vid, too... way cool/budding photog.... most of all, the bit about the carbon fiber model versus aluminum ... that was worth $100 advice by itself! ok you chose a choice monopod,i went for a cheap one and i can tell you it does just as good a job as your expensive one.i payed $49 for my monopod with the folding legs you could have bought 5 like mine for the price you payed for yours and thay both do the same job.i dont know why we have people paying out huge sums of money for a simple job.

I just purchased this tripod to use for my d7200 for photos and maybe some videos at a jeep rally mainly because it's lightweight compared to my manfrotto pro055 watching your video made me way more comfortable with my purchase. How do you still like using the sirui?

I was about to buy that sirui, but i totally changed my mind when I saw your child's presentation and went for his tripod that can goes up and down ! :D Jokes aside, what sirui head would you recommand with this monopod, knowing that i want to use it for video travelling (so small). I was about to buy the manfrotto and I discover randomly that sirui which cover EVEYTHING i would need on the way.

Mill's should make a review of the tripod lol :-) Great video, that monopod looks way better than the manfroto one, and it's just half the price!

Sirui is Japanese so you pronounce every written letter. "Si - roo - i " note the pronunciation of r' has a soft d' at the start and also that i' is pronounced like the way Monty Python says "We are the knights who say ni, ni!".

Got this and not too happy with it, first of all its quite heavy if your moving about, second of all when u move it and then take your hands away it sways back and forth for quite a while until it stops.

Heey i had the same question your son had at the end, what was that thing, thanks to him in making the question to you its just to hold it on travel but i first thought it was an ugly way to put a logo, lol.

I am heading off to Africa in Feb and am looking for an ultra compact, lightweight mono/tripod. This unit looks good but I am concerned about the overall length. Once you disengage the tripod feet, what is the length of the main section. I need it to fit into my camera bag and must be under 16 inches. Also, it needs to accommodate my JVC GY-HM200 camera. Your thoughts?

Do the legs come with it or could buy the feet And monopod sperarely i see 3/8 thread feet for saleon nottom and and feet to it you should consider the souring brand none of issues you g Had

Can you recommend a cheap fluid head that'll work great for weddings? I'd imagine you're just using your manfrotto so you didn't have to buy one but thought I'd ask in case you did buy a separate one for the Sirui.

Have you tried the digiant mp-3606? It looks similar to the sirui. I was thinking about getting it.

does this even need a head? Can't it pan and tilt just fine without one? I'm thinking about putting the head of my old manfrotto tripod on it--probably the cheapest they make..

Could you do a test for timelapes please? I have a Lumix GH4, so I just wonder if Sirui P-204S would shake when I put it in the middle of no where with wind blowing and shoot timelapes by itself. I have a tripod, but man they are heavy and hard to carry. (Although they hold the wind pretty good). Thanks

Warning: I was going to buy from amazon, but saw a review about the awesome "6 year warranty". Sirui will not honor it if you buy there. Amazon is NOT an authorized dealer!!!!! Unfortunately i have to drive half way across the state of Minnesota to get to the "nearest authorized dealer, and they have none in stock! What a load of #$%! It will take them two weeks to get one in and I need it before then. What difference does it make? Are the amazon ones built to a lower standard? How does amazon get them to sell if they are "not an authorized dealer?" Looks lijke a great product and I want it but already frustrated with customer support before even purchasing it.
