Thanks for sharing. I happened to dropped my Google nest hub max recently and ended up with somewhat of a big crack on the corner of the screen. I was wondering if you could maybe make a video on how to fix a broken screen, I did watch one by someone else but they didn't go into too much detail. It looked pretty easy to fix but would we have the right tools to do it from home is the question 🤔

Good video Brett. I mounted my echo show 5 with the mount genie a few weeks ago. I was looking to get it off the counter. I couldn't use a mount/shelve that was above the outlet cause the screen would have been blocked by the cabinets. The Genie is however on the side and it was the perfect height. I didn't like it was white, so I spray painted it black. (I'll tweet you a photo) and then when I played music, it didn't sound good. You can actually hear it rattle and not sound as good as if it was on the counter. Have you noticed that with yours?

Not to be critical, but since you do have a blank plate, and rather than depend on the double sided tape working as it may in some areas of the country, but here in Louisiana the humidity is horrible and often times Kitchens due to the heat of cooking etc can inherently be a more humid environment that others second only to a bathroom with a shower. I think I would have simply bolted the plate to the plastic cover. These covers are extremely cheap, and even if drilling holes in your existing plate you could just purchase a 2nd one that you would not have to worry about drilling holes in and have the original to put back into that location if for some reason you decide to remove the hub from that location one day. And me being an electrician is what lead me to this idea of bolting it to the blank plate vs using just the provided double sided tape vs screwing it down to something. Also and again because I work in the electrical field, these come in stainless steel which obviously would be metal and much better for drilling and more ridgid that I would mount mine on a stainless steel plate and because the hub is likely larger than the electrical cover you would not really even notice that it's metal and not white as are your other plates in the area. Maybe the self sticking tape is much stronger than I give it credit, I would just be apprehensive about mounting a 80.00 device with double sided tape. Which is the price now that the Google Hub Max has come out, I think they were almost twice this price at one time however before the introduction of the larger Google Hub Max. I do have two Kiwi mounts however which is how I came across this video, and I have to say these mounts are very well made, they look sleek and blend in very well, and do a great job of supporting your traditional smaller sized Google Hub displays. Again, not intended to be critical, but helpful and I may be wrong about the strength of this double sided tape vs using screws. Thanks for the video!

Ha, wow, if that second one is "a best mount" then its for sure better off just being on the counter. Seems like a slight breeze would knock it over, or at the very least bounce the screen around and make it not worth looking at.
