@AlexBiron
@AlexBiron 4 жыл бұрын
Despite him getting roasted hilariously in the comments, I did want to try this burger. I’m in NY this week and I ordered the exact same thing (with fries and medium not rare.) The fries were good! He should have eaten the pickle and coleslaw, as they were tasty and went well with the burger. I noticed that the patty seemed smaller than in this video and the price seems to have gone up. It came medium rare, not medium, so if I went again I wouldn’t specify since they seem to undercook already. Overall the burger was good! Definitely not as good as he makes it out to be but I would get it again for sure. It’s a cozy diner and I’d like to try some of their other food too. The prices seem to have gone up but this video was filmed over five years ago so I wasn’t surprised.

@@4newestaccoun I would say it depends on the quality of the restaurant and the quality of the ingredients that they buy. I’d say it would be fine to order a rare burger at a fine dining restaurant because they’re most likely buying high quality ground beef, or even grinding their own beef out of scraps from their regular steaks that they serve to customers (ribeye, tenderloin, NY strip, etc.) I think I would be very hesitant to order a rare burger from a place like this. I’m just making an assumption as I have no proof, but I’m guessing that they’re not buying the highest quality beef patties, nor are they grinding their own beef out of steak. But that’s why a burger at a fine dining place costs $20 and it costs what… $6 here.

+NambaFly because it's a shitty burger and because it's not mainstream, hipsters love it. It is literally cheese and a meat patty, you could pay less at McDonald's and get more dollar for value and a better taste as they also include onions, pickles, ketchup and mustard in their burgers so if you don't understand why there is so much hate you must have some sort of brain developmental problem.

I went there and I was surprised because it really was an amazing yet simple burger. It's what a cheeseburger should be. Is it the best burger ever in NYC? I don't know and probably not since it is so simple but since I ate there every time I think of a simple burger this is what I want.

My gripe isn't that Hector behind the grill just throws whatever meat the owner buys on the grill. The cook at Denny's can make the same burger. This dude is just in love with the side of town... My gripe is with the comments. That's not blood. It's water, fat and muscle juices that turn red due to some sciencey thing that happens with the oxygen in the meat's muscle and the heat. I switched to medium rare after I learned that and have learned I've been missing out with the well done bullshit

This dude used "no plancha" when he meant to say "a la plancha". Both are douchy things to say at a place like a burger shop but "a la plancha" means "by the iron" which essentially says just put it on the grill you don't need any enhancements. "No plancha" isn't a thing but would mean no iron, so essentially not even grilling it?
