Super bob was as good as alan shearer, an albion legend. He scored the goals to drag albion from league 1 up to the premier league.Brilliant man who is albion through and through.

I actually bought him a beer one day just after he joined us, the MAN never forgot me after that and always asked me to join him whenever he was in the local. Top bloke and his Son Boings with the best of em, THE LEGEND , THE SUPER, THE MAN

Apparently when Pele was asked to name his choice of best footballer ever, he said: "Well, there's Maradonna, Zidane, Ronaldo, Puskas, Greaves, Charlton, Best, Gascoigne in the mix, but making a decision is very difficult." Then the interviewer asked. : "What about Bob Taylor?" and Pele said: "Yes, well of course Bob is up there too. Goes without saying,"

I remember standing in the Smethwick End as an 9/10 year old baggies fan sing Super bob, super , super bob, super super bobby Taylor!! He then tried to score from the half way line and hit the cross bar in the 90th minute. One of my fondest memories.

Ah the Smethwick end. Halfords lane.i was born further down past the traffic island onto Brasshouse lane at number23.my nan and granddad burgoyne house. I vaguely remember Bob Taylor and his goal scoring ability. Bloody fantastic.

Still remember that back post header down the blues. He'd get 15 in our team now, EASY. Top hold up play and near on legendary in the air.

Bob Taylor, Andy hunt up top and Richard sneekes behind its always surprised me we always seemed to struggle. Manager after manager never plugged our midfield or defences gaps. With that forward we should have been a real force!!! Kevin's donovan right and killer on the left our midfield only needed a ball winner who had vision yet a lot of players were signed that simply weren't good enough to do that roll the worst being Andy effing Townsend. At the back was always the same faces Burgess Raven Marden good club men but I'm sure they'd admit at not being quite good enough to take the club on to another level. Ardilies,Burkinshaw, Buckley Harford, Smith and the totally useless Brian little all tried all failed then came Gary Megson and for 20 years we became the potm! HE SORTED IT !

It's a pity we could not have found a striker like Bob, Kevin Phillips, goal scoring midfielder like bomber. Mabe we wouldnt be looking at championship football next season. It's goin to be bloody hard to get back. Look at the dingles and the vile. We will be playing the vile next season. Cus Thay won't get promoted.
