That's is a sport that is constantly evolving, I wonder if the shoulder roll could be effective in this sport regular boxing defense doesn't look really effective with no glove, Im sure in 10 years we are going to see 100% different meta in this sport

@@Al0305 The big problem is that, besides Dat and Nico Hernandez, they've gotten exclusively terrible and/or completely washed up boxers in BKFC. People like Uly Diaz, Sam Shewmaker, and Britain Hart were never good in the gloved game and people like Steve Herelius, Chop Chop Corley (who had 30+ boxing losses before his BKFC debut) and Paulie Malinaggi (who got stopped brutally several times near the end of his career) were completely washed. They're drawing much better MMA fighters than they are boxers, because the average pay for a boxer is still so much higher. A slick, prime fighter like Caleb Plant, Devin Haney, Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury, Terence Crawford, Naoya Inoue, etc would never have anyone lay a hand on them in BKFC. Just like Nico easily won his fight and Dat easily won all of his fights, minus the blatant robbery we saw against Palomino on this card.

@@jw-nz2vx It wouldn't be much fun to watch if they got some top tier boxers in the BKFC as you said they wouldn't even get touched, MMA on the other hand are a whole other thing as their boxing skills are generally quite bad in comparison to a boxers which is understandle, there's some older MMA who would have thrived in BKFC if only it had come along a bit earlier.

@@originalityisdead.9513 I would have loved to have seen guys like Butterbean, Kimbo Slice, Mark Hunt, or Shannon Briggs. And I would love to see Holly Holm come to BKFC too; I don't think she can beat Amanda Nunes but I do think she still has a lot of good fights left in her.

@@jw-nz2vx of course you are right but you are talking about the most talented boxers at the moment, my point is not about head movement and been slick of course that is going to work perfectly fine in BNFC I'm talking more about block and parry specially block is less effective in BNFC without glove is easier to sneak a punch in the middle or around your guard and what I wonder is what direction will take the sport in the future for defense right now we see great fight but little to no defense.

Wasn't even a close fight. Dat should be a two division champion right now. If I were him I'd go back to the gloved game because it's clear he's not going to get a fair shake from the judges. They nearly handed that 135 title Dat won to Bedford; that fight wasn't nearly as close as the cards either. Foreshadowing.

Agreed. The way Palomino behaved when Dat was showing his respect was pathetic, he wasn't hitting him or slapping him yet Palomino acted like a child. And Hunt's absolute lack of respect and inability to be humble makes me hate him as a fighter.

It's good stuff. When they started it looked like a slightly upgraded Toughman competition but what they lacked in skills they made up for in sheer balls. Now two years later you've got fighters with name recognition and some serious skills in both offense and defense and the balls are still there.

Dat's best weight class in boxing was 126. That would be a 5 weight class jump to 154 in the gloved game. He's been fighting bigger dudes from the jump in BKFC just so they could be competitive.
