Absolutely. When I first watched this show as a kid, I liked Eric but just saw him as the goofball brother but now rewatching it with my kids I am really impressed with his performance and he's my 2nd fav character after Feeny. The Eric/Feeny moments are the ones that really stand out to me.

it was because the show was from Corey's view of the world. When he was younger he saw Eric as his cooler older brother and then when Corey grew up he began to realise that Eric was actually really immature and kind of stupid (we still love him though)

What's funny is Eric and I would be buddies best after his hair was cut shorter, probably cause he was most like me after then. Ironically, the actor who plays him got married 2 days after my birthday, and I've read that he has a seizure disorder, I had seizures when I was little, but not anymore, but I feel bad for Will Friedle.

I recently watched a newer interview where will explains his weight gain. He said one minute he was thinner with long hair and then came back and got thicker due to the anxiety medication he had to take. He has a seizure disorder that ended up making him have anxiety as well.

I like how they kept Eric’s “Plays with Squirrels “ persona in Girl Meets World and the fact that Cory and Topanga had a daughter in the fantasy and one in “real life” (aka Girl Meets World). It’s good when the writers of original shows are also the writers of the sequels so there’s continuity even though it was 18 years later
