You really only just scratched the surface in Ireland. There is so much more to see. I hope you return someday. I was born in Ireland then we migrated to the US when I was 10; returned to Ireland when I was 12, then moved to Australia at 14 . Now I live in the UK. I remember visiting the Cliffs of Moher many years ago. No visitors centre or proper parking area then. Just cliffs.

Hi Gabriel, I'm guessing another trip to Ireland at some point the story you mention about the five architects who were killed is strange being that the architecture is so similar in building these castles it doesn't seem to make sense. I'm wondering if going into these Castle locations looks like some stones come off falling on someone. It's go in at your own risk.

A couple questions-you have stayed in nyc several times during your flight transfers-it is an expensive place. where do you suggest staying that is affordable and near the airport? Second question has to do with an expiring passport...how does one continue to travel during the period when ones passport is nearing expiration and during the renewal period which takes months during pandemic times. In the first case, I have heard Europe requires a minimum of 6 months still on passport. And in the latter case, you have to relinquish your expiring passport when applying for renewal, so how does one keep travelling without interruption?
@GabrielTravelerVideos
@GabrielTravelerVideos 2 жыл бұрын
I recommend checking booking.com for accommodation around the airports. It will depend on the airport and what's available. As for the passport situation, I guess I've always timed it around when I'm staying back in the US for a little while. Most countries won't allow you to enter if you have less than six months validity on your passport. So it's best to plan to get a new one at least eight months or so in advance.
@rebeccar4312
@rebeccar4312 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. The frustration is, that due t o the pandemic it is taking MUCH longer to re-new a passport, even when paying extra to expediate. I do not want to stay i n the U.S. that long! And unlike you, I do not have friends of family to stay with, so being in the U.S. is too expensive. Am wondering if I could re-new passport while in Mexico...I do not think the 6 month thing applies there to get in either...do you know? As for NY, is there a name of a specific place that you stayed at that was decent & affordable?
@GabrielTravelerVideos
@GabrielTravelerVideos 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's a problem for sure. Unfortunately I'm certain that Mexico also requires more than six months validity to be able to enter. And I'm not sure about being able to get a new passport from somewhere outside the US, especially during the pandemic. It's a tough situation. As for NYC, the hotels I stayed in weren't cheap. The most recent one was the Hotel at Fifth Avenue for $125 per night. Nice place and great location though.
@rebeccar4312
@rebeccar4312 2 жыл бұрын
FYI...you said that you are "certain" that Mexico requires 6 months...I was told they do not-that your passport only needs to be valid for the period of time you are actually in Mexico. Obviously if the passport expires in 3 months you cannot stay for the alloted 180 days, but can stay for 3 months. AND this might be new information for you-due to the pandemic, U.S. citizens are allowed to enter U.S. with an expired passport until December of 2021.
@GabrielTravelerVideos
@GabrielTravelerVideos 2 жыл бұрын
Perhaps you're right about that. I would just make sure that's 100% correct before trying to enter so you aren't denied and left having to fly somewhere else.
