His brother Johann was heard to say on a number of occasions " I have the popularity but my brother Josef has the talent". How true those words are. Beautiful. 🎻🎼

They both had talent - in spades! But Josef was the more 'symphonic' composer of the two, his waltzes often show more complexity and imagination.

This compilation omits several of Josef's best works, such as: "Delirien", "Sphärenklänge", "Dorfschwalben Aus Österreich" and "Aquarellen". 😈

It's nice to see Brother Josef getting some recognition as a first-rate composer in his own right; Johann II said his brother was the best composer in the family. A great pity that he died so young.

There is an orchestra in the Netherlands who has devoted most of their music to Strauss it is Andre Rieu’s He is so ingenious His music is so uplifting,moving and happy.During his performance people are happy,crying and dancing in the isles. A very happy bunch of people,so fun to watch!

Incorrect Opus Number! The Music Sturmlauf, Polka schnell(01:02:52 )is Op.136! Thererfore Sturmlauf, Polka schnell, Op. 136! Op.13 is Wiener Polka, Polka Schnell! And therefore Wiener Polka, Polka Schnell, Op.13!
