Ancient burial temple. Do you mean the Saadian Tombs? Morocco is a beautiful country. The history makes it even more of an attractive place to visit.

Currently in Morocco, travelled by train all across Morocco, Marrakech is my least favorite city. I think planning your own journey is the best part. Fes was my favorite city

Hi. I’m trying to plan a trip to Morocco. Seems like that travel agent is great. Was it $1000 per person or group?
@AngelaJourneys
@AngelaJourneys Жыл бұрын
Hi Robert! It was $1000 per person, but there were only two of us so if there are more people you are traveling with then it should be less per person 😊

Hi Angela. Hey we enjoyed your video on Morocco and considering using your tour guide Adil. We've been communicating with him and ready to make deposit payment but being that he's independent we want to feel safe we can send money. Would you mind sharing how you handled that?

Hey Greg! I believe we paid the entire sum in cash upon arrival. However, Adil is very trustworthy and my trip was a while ago so maybe he has updated his technology 😄

Is it okay to wear shorts, skirts (I mean short ones) in Morocco ? Y’all didn’t got stares or anything ?
@AngelaJourneys

You are allowed, but you will get stares and men hollering at you LOL it gets annoying after a while but it was our choice to dress that way so it was bound to happen!

I enjoyed this video and found it super useful for planning my upcoming Morocco trip. However, when you said, "we were two young women in a Muslim country", it was a little bit of an oversight. Are you implying being around Muslims is dangerous? Maybe a better phrase would have been "we were two young women in a foreign culture so it helps to be with a local." It's critical to be aware of how our eurocentrism manifests into microaggressions. Nonetheless, great video, and nice pictures! Thanks for sharing.
@AngelaJourneys

No I meant what I said. Being two young women that dress in an "American" fashion draws attention to you in ways that is uncomfortable because you are in a Muslim country where women cover up, but it was our choice to dress that way so it was bound to happen.

Unbelievable. S0, according to your (non) logic Muslimcentricism is ok, but not Eurocentricism? Why? When western people dare express their views regardarging their history, culture, traditions, secularism, etc are made feel guilty/ criticised/ accused of being eurocentricists or white suprematists etc tc, as if they should feel ashamed of their identity and (great) culture. When a NON-western person does the same thing it's called: Being PROUD of one's roots/ preserving one's culture! Also, your comment implies that racism is not ok, but sexism and mysogyny are? Why? Do women's lives matter less than anybody/ anything else?! Angela however was not intimidated by your manipulative and mysogynistic comment and gave you an excellent, direct reply. ...Yes, you're a mysogynist. You chose to defend Muslim patriarchy but not HER right to dress the way she wants. Reality check: muslim religion is very oppressive towards women, clearly indicates men's superiority, women are expected to be obedient and serve men, women and girls have still to, in 2022, cover up their bodies because of the men's (aka religion) sexophobic mindset. Isn't that abuse? Try to be more supportive of WOMEN and less of muslim/non-westerncentricism. Use, at least some, cogitant skills.

@@AngelaJourneys Again, you could have said, "being two women dressed outside of a country's norm will earn you uncomfortable looks, but it is bound to happen." I'm trying to emphasize that it has nothing to do with the fact that the people are Muslim and everything to do with the reality that it could happen anyplace in the world. Just being conscious of how we frame things, you know. And, by the way, I booked my upcoming Morocco trip with this company because of your video. Thanks!

wow generalizing the Islamic countries and the culture while sharing your “blonde moment” is the most woke thing you could do on the internet. Just so you know, I am an Asian living in Morocco and it’s probably the safest countries, perhaps safer than America 😂

Hi Fahmida, thanks for your comment! Let me clarify this once again for everyone who is offended by me mentioning anything about the Muslim culture. I am making an informative travel video about two young women travelling to Morocco...a Muslim country, where women cover up. I do not apologize for disclosing helpful information based upon my travel experiences because other women will be watching this who have never travelled here before. When the young men see two American style dressed young women they tend to harrass them. For example, I was in a market and one male "bumped" into me about 10 times, each time brushing his hand on my butt. This is one occurrence of many others I can share. Things like this NEVER happened when we were with my male guide. AND my guide also warned us things like this would happen if we wandered off alone without him. Now, I also want to disclose that this was a very trivial part of my Moroccan experience and did not take away at all from the amazing time I had. Morocco is still one of my favourite and most magical destinations.

The "Sahara Desert" you visited is just desert area around Marrakech and is sold to tourists as a Saharan Desert trip, it is not the Western Sahara desert, which takes about 3 days of trekking to reach. The Sahara desert (not western) is over in Egypt/Libya/Sudan.
