In this new video as Cuarentón Viajero I am going to show you the best things to see in Nerja in 2 days.
We arrived on a Friday in what was the last weekend of summer in Nerja. This municipality in the province of Malaga is located on what is known as Costa del Sol, which is located on the Malaga coast. We decided to start our visit at its entrance, where, in addition to some giant letters that make up the name of Nerja, there is the monument to the Rapture of Europe, and Nerja is closely linked to this continent. From there we crossed a bridge that took us to the Verano Azul Park, where there are several images of the protagonists of the popular Spanish series from the 80s as well as a replica of Chanquete's ship, La Dorada. We continue our route along the promenade of Nerja, more specifically at the Fountain of Europe, a monument from 2002 built with stones donated by the countries that made up the European Union that year. Next we went to one of the most famous and busiest spots in Nerja, the Balcón de Europa. At lunchtime we enjoyed a fried food from Malaga at the El Pulguilla restaurant. With a full stomach we drove 4 kilometers to the neighboring district of Maro where the apartment we had rented was located and we had to check in at 3:00 p.m. In the afternoon we continue our visit to Nerja, visiting the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de las Angustias and the popular church of El Salvador. Then we decided to take a walk to Burriana beach to later go to the Balcón de Europa to see the sunset, an ideal point to see the Old Town of Nerja, starting with the Plaza de España.
On our second day of the trip we explored the Maro area, heading to Maro Beach to kayak and see the Maro cliffs from the sea. After a shower it was time to visit the highlight of Nerja, the famous Nerja Cave, an essential visit. On the way out we stopped at the Aguila Aqueduct to head to Nerja, more specifically to its museum. To end our two days in Nerja we enjoyed the sun on Calahonda beach where we said goodbye to this spectacular destination in the province of Malaga.
