I think I can answer this. On some of the boxes with that text there’s usually perforation where the box will split into two halves so you’re supposed to use that. But also if you’re careful you can just poke a hole in the tape with the box knife and pull it open with your hands 🤷‍♀️ That text is usually there because you could potentially damage the product inside. Ive seen bags of flour at the store I work at with holes in them made when someone would use a box knife to cut the plastic the bags are wrapped in and cut too close to the product. It’s like really thick strong plastic though so you just have to be extremely careful and only cut it just enough tear it the rest of the way. As for the box in the picture, the tape could be cut on the sides and nothing inside the box would be damaged.
