Well that's not exactly true cause we kill each other every day all around the world. Football gives people an excuse to fight and use bigoted political nonsense to fight and some take it a bit too far. People actually talk about the troubles in Ireland when it comes to celtic v rangers when it has fuck all to do with football. People on the celtic side which I am a celtic fan BTW, they sing Irish rebel songs which I feel is wrong cause ppl died in all that bullshit. I get why they sing them but it's a tad extreme. On the rangers side they sing the Billy boys song which is absolutely scum ridden cause of what the Billy boys were, just utter scum. Celtic is Scottish, I get the Irish background that's why they obviously brand the Irish flag which I wouldn't do cause I'm Scottish not Irish. Rangers fans brand the Northern Irish flag to stick it in celtics face which again there is no need for cz rangers has fuck all to do with Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland shouldn't even be part of Britain yet ppl support the fact we went over and interfered with the Irish problems years ago. America did the same with Korea and Vietnam, look how that turned out just ripped countries apart and ppl are to naieve to actually think about these things or don't do their homework and just go with the flow or what their uneducated elders believe and pass down to their children. The problem is, that the Glasgow area is far more densely populated than the Edinburgh and Aberdeen areas. Yes, the City Edinburgh may have just a shade above 100,000 less of a population compared to the City of Glasgow, but the area round it is comparatively empty, whilst there are large areas round Glasgow, which are officially not part of the City, but are joined onto it, giving it's conurbation around double the population of Edinburgh's, not to mention the fact that there are far more large towns right on the doorstep of Glasgow, than there is with Edinburgh. Most fans from those places follow the Old Firm. I remember someone who lived in Coatbridge telling me that just about everyone followed Celtic there, rather than Albion Rovers, for instance. Then there are the glory hunters from further afield. I live near Stirling and it is full of Old Firm fans and I even recall being up in an Elgin pub when an Old Firm game was on and it was full of them also. There still has been periods though, when the OId Firm were struggling, or at least being challenged in the League by others and them getting far lower crowds than they do today. Both the Old Firm in the early mid 1980's for instance, had seasons where they averaged below 20,000 and in the immediate post War years, Hibs (incidentally the only non Old Firm club ever to average above 30,000 for a season!), Hearts and sometimes Aberdeen, frequently averaged more than Celtic, who won just 1 Title between the end of the War and 1966! (A hint of success though and their crowds came flocking back, even if they never averaged above 40,000 in their history, until Season 1996/97!)

It’s was disturbing that 500 Motherwell fans arrived in Aberdeen instead of Edinburgh.Motherwell fans were spotted asking locals for directions to Easter road in Edinburgh . The thing is that all 500 fans had smartphones with the google earth app installed. When asked if they had used the google earth app ? They, replied “ yes” but they could not see where they were .
