Great review. You´ve covered everything very well. Same like you, I had the previous model (but 32") for a few years now. Back then I thought bigger is better. But 32" is indeed a little too big for photo editting. So looking forward to the improved and better looking 27" modlel.

Nice monitor but I wish they made bezels even size all around the monitor. That bigger chin is a bit annoying 🙄 (I know they probably had some technical limitations) Also, I hope they release an updated 32 version because 27 is a bit too small for my personal use. By the way, what is the refresh rate on this monitor? I hope we finally moved to 120Hz ?

Hi Tim. Thanks for your video. Any update on how you like the monitor now that you’ve had it for a couple of months? I plan on using this with the BlackMagic UltraStudio 4K Mini I/O device, and use the monitor as a video reference monitor within Resolve. Do you have any experience using the monitor with such an I/o device?

Thanks for the review! This is really helpful as I’m choosing between a smaller monitor / larger tv for photo editing. I have a question on the delta e colour accuracy point. 🙏🏼 I’m looking at reviews of different options and came across the Philips OLED tv which has a

Hii TK, could you share the specific video calibration settings you use for this monitor and Xrite? I recently purchased this monitor and the calibration tool Colorchecker display plus, but the calibration failed. The report shows an average Delta E of 5.54 and a maximum Delta E of 12.06. I'm not sure if there's something wrong with the monitor or if I'm not calibrating it correctly.

Hi dude! Definitely sounds like something isn't quite right. Depending what computer you're on make sure you have any auto adjustment settings off for the display, some might naturally adjust brightness and colour based off surroundings. Also which software are you using for calibration? I checked out a few videos from ArtIsRight here on KZfaq when I started out - maybe check some of those and follow along closely. If still having an issue I'd probably try reinstalling the software. Trying it all again. The monitor should have a calibration report there so unless it was somehow damaged I can't imagine a dramatic change. Potentially check the xrite on another monitor to see. Hope that is somewhat helpful!

So how is Benq's calibration software? How do you keep it calibrated? Factory calibration says nothing since color and brightness shifts after aprox 150-200 hours use..

I actually really like the benq software now! The new version is great. I was previously using the xrite software but going to keep using benqs palette master ultimate now, very simple to navigate and works great.

You did not like the old "chunky stand"? Really? Don't you think there was a REASON for it being chunky? It is called STABILITY. And so what that it was "chunky"? It was only taking space below monitor that is almost never used anyway OR you could still easily put stuff on top of that stand, no problem. Its not like it was 10 cm thick. And this new stand??? No way it prevents a 27 inch monitor from wobbling like crazy with any slight movements on the desk, even when just putting your hands on the desk. I don't even need to test it to understand it. It is just geometry. Unfortunately, they all are doing it now, Dell too changed to this type of terrible, unstable stand. They only kept old "chunky" stand for a few of their most expensive models. I bought a Dell monitor recently with this new type of stand, its absolutely terrible, too wobbly on the desk.

Used both for a long time now. Had absolutely no issues with stability never notice it moving in the slightest. Even moving my desk up and down. Looks are subjective sure but I can't fault its functionality in any way.

@@TKNORTH Hey, thanks for your reply. That is interesting. Maybe I jumped to conclusions too quickly here, will check it for myself if/when I get a chance. The smaller stand on this one seemed similar to me to those new stands on most of Dell's recent models, so I thought this would be bad too. I can confidently say that Dell's new monitor stands are terrible, as I have just purchased one, 27 inch 4K type. Did not expect it to be that wobbly, am very disappointed. But still, I would much rather prefer the OLD type of monitor stand in any case ( the type that BenQ SW240 still has, the one Dell U2410 had, etc) as that one was rock solid.

1500$ for 8bit ? No, thanks. My old 301NEC's colour is better. Or new OLED 32" 4k 240hz from Asus or Dell - colour is good (no worse than this 272) - not best, but good. For the same price. LG 272 - is a very overrated monitor. Yes, colors are not bad. But, 8 bits for $1500. And its colors are worse than those of monitors 10 years ago.
