Planning a trip to the big island of Hawaii? I spent 12 days on the Big Island of Hawaii in March 2023. Most of my time was spent hiking, swimming and eating (more videos to come!). These are my top meals from the entire time I was there! I did go to a handful of restaurants not mentioned in this video, as I chose to enjoy the company I was with (and also just forgot to take a video!).

YEA hope you had a wonderful time!! I've been to Hawaii twice. Once when I was an 18yr old single girl with 2 girlfriends/coworkers. Then when I was in my early 20's I went with my mom and my daughter who was about 2-3 somewhere in there she was young!! My son wants me to take him as he IS Hawaiian, his dad is from Hawaii although he along with all of his family are deceased now.

You should go!!! They have pretty reasonable flights this summer, but definitely most reasonable into Kona or Maui as opposed to Lihue/Honolulu! Google flights will be your new best friend :D

Next time, a couple of places to also try in Kona are Thai Rin and Ono Loa Grill.

AFTER UMEKES MOVED .. 'UP THE HILL', I SAY THEY LOST A LOT .. THEY HAVE A FOOD CART USED TO GO SAFEWAY HILO!

FYI.....@ 1:00 or so....Foster's Restaurant @ W-A-I-K-O-L-O-A. Subtitles say...W-i-a-k-o-l-o-a...At >4:05...Pipikaula=Beef rope...Hawaiian version of beef jerky
