Kohama Island, which belongs to Okinawa Prefecture, is a small island located in the center of the Yaeyama Islands. The island is rich in ups and downs, with a 99-meter-high Ufudaki (Mt. Ufudaki) in the center of the island.
With a circumference of 16.5 km and a population of 807 (as of June 2023), the history and culture nurtured on this small island are concentrated with the best of Okinawa.
