Love your family, that’s what we were before when we eat out, now they’re gone (RIP), miss them so much though, but the way you do, i can relate. Enjoy your parents while they’re still around.

That's what I love about Japan. The small eateries (5 to 10 seaters) that specializes in just a few dishes. The Japanese are so patient to wait for vacnt seats. Kapag dito yan, lugi talaga.

One of the best na inihaw is asa service area ng expressway kapag nabyahe ako pauwi ng nagoya galing tokyo. Inihaw na beef tounge and beef meat. Yung aroma palang and yung mismong lasa ng beef with just asin lang is one of the best.

6:15 That's how my mom used to grill pork bbq. No catsup, no soy sauce. Just salt. Yummy This was during the 80s. The quality of the pork was so good That I couldn't smell or taste anything. Ngayon, medyo kakaiba ang lasa ng pork. You need to marinate it to cover the bad taste.

The yakitori there is simple but really good! It’s the binchotan charcoal that they use, kahit na soy sauce base marinade gamit nila unique yung lasa. I wonder if we could use that charcoal for our bbq?

@chefjayps, the stew you ate is called motsuni. Usually made with beef or pork innards/offals. Very hearty stew for cold weather.
