2 corrections are needed for this video, unfortunately. 1. Nirvana didn't create or popularize grunge, soundgarden did. They came out well before Nirvana, and were still considered grunge at the time, they also broke through the mainstream before Nirvana and sold more albums overall, its just that Nirvana BECAME more popular than them later on by complete coincidence and they get way more credit for grunge then they actually deserve especially since theres an interview where kurt claimed to be directly inspired by soundgarden and was trying to directly copy them. Kurt directly said this... he also told Chris Cornell when they met for the first time that Chris was his biggest influence. 2. Tool came out technically in 1988 with opiate and their major label debut was still in 1992, before rage came out officially. That makes tool the first actual numetal band, not rage. Since many label tool as numetal, that by default makes them the first ones. Im a music historian and can provide proof that all this is true. I also have a degree in music and in researching. ( I am quite surprised that i have not been asked to work on this channel due to my high amount of knowledge and ability to correct the channels' mistakes quite often.)
