This game is Amazing! And scary haha. Just sold my loot from a fortress and was celebrating with a chanty. All of the sudden a stranger stood next to me. I was like ohoh and played on and the fellow pirate played with me 😂 when sailing away he shouted: good bye friend. Thank god it didn't turn into a fight haha there where two of them 😂 and just getting used to the sloop.

Imprtant for the new players is that knowing the information wont make you a pro. You will sink, you will loose and some toxic sweat will curse you and your bloodline out. The most important skill in sot is not giving up, not stoping. Youll understand and learn with time and youll become stronger then many that yopu encounter. And even then you still can loose and sink but thats just part of the game.

on cooking ignore all the colour stuff and just listen to sound when the pan starts bubbling and spitting oil sound the food is cooked to perfection on every item. its very distinct sound

Vet tip. Use R3 (right stick) as a key bind as well! I use it for food so i can quickly heal during battle without needing to move my thumb :)

One huge tip I’d advise new players or any controller players to do is: Put main interact button from X or Square to LB(R1) so when you’re trying to board or hit ladders you don’t have to take your thumb off the camera stick cause I’ve missed so many times before I did that. Then, assign your wood planks, food, throwables to right, left, and up on the D pad and bucket to click right stick. This makes it so you don’t have to open the item wheel every time you need to repair or bucket out water from your ship. You could try your own binds, but you get the idea. One thing this kind of makes wonky is the chat wheel, since I hardly use it I put it to X so you hold X and then have to find a way to move the selector to whichever one you want with your left thumb on the right stick. I feel there’s a reason I couldn’t bind it different but can’t remember.

used to play sea of thieves about 4 years ago, loved the game. I played on console and I really suck at console, so me and my friends would lose our loot a lot, but i really love the game. I got it on steam a couple hours ago and have been messing around with settings and all my old cosmetics, this video is really helpful considering I can control my aim and movement so much better now, thank you.

Enjoyed the beta alot, purchased a sloop and brig and got order of souls to 31 xD About the crossplay thing, PS5 will also be able to turn off crossplay and play playstation only servers so you wont have to play with experienced xbox players either until your ready!

Few more tips: Regular Gold Skeles can be killed with 1 Firebomb, so group em up and chuck one in there. Captains take 2 maybe 3. I also want to clarify you have to actually Raise your Lantern (Left Trigger or whatever you guys use) to weaken Shadow Skeles. When the Kraken does the Vacuum thing you can go into the Hull of your ship to prevent being pulled. Throwing a Firebomb on the deck of a Skele ship is pretty effective, especially if you can get it on the Cannon. On the Sloop, if you cant catch wind at any angle, you want to set your Sails to the Default position. The Sloop is actually the fastest ship on the server against wind. The new Horn of Fair Winds has kind of changed that though.

Our crew already has a Captain, Lookout (myself), Brawler and Cannoneer. Been only playing since the 30th, and it's amazing feeling like a kid playing pirates again. I really like that it brings out everyone's personal play style and strategy for finding treasure and fighting foes.

For keybinds I would recommend switching jump to rb (r1) so you can jump without putting your finger of the stick and maybe put food on A because you can access food quicker on a then on d pad

Meet actually gives you 25% of the regen bar, which is technically 50% health. The regen bar can hold a total of 200% health.

Skeleton balls can also be thrown onto your own ship to help defend when boarded

18:53 when it comes to Golden skeletons if you have no quick water source near you just throw a fireball at them and it will 90% of the time kill them And if you're dealing with shuttle skeletons and if it's night time just use a flare. That will get rid of their invincibility and it will last for a while so you don't have to sit there and try switching between a lantern and sword. But pretty much when it comes to all skeletons just throw fire bombs except for the burning skeletons they are the only skeletons that are immune to the fire. Also when it comes to Skelly Islands save whatever powder kegs you can and just use it to Kill the Boss or better yet just collect yourselves of you Disney sticks. three will usually kill any boss. 39:06 if you are new avoid Reaper's hideout but if you're looking for a challenge then sure go straight ahead go right in there. Avoid dagger tooth when it comes to selling anything unless you have a captain ship because everything on dagger tooth island is just so far away but if you have a shift that you purchased that makes it a captain ship and then you can just go and sell the to the sovereigns and if you need to know who the sovereignty are they're usually people that have the big red tent. If you really want to risk getting out of some PVP that you're not in the mood for then sail right through a storm or go to the devil's Roar. That will usually discourage any low ranking players. But be warned like the person says in this video storms are definitely not something you want to just be sailing through and the devil's Roar is dangerous. also if you want a little bit of extra Firepower when you're on a Sloop then find yourself a robot with a cannon on it and put that on the back of your Sloop and that will give you two cannons pointing in a Direction and you can still use that Cannon. Be careful though because people will destroy it
