0:00 Introduction: The best natural remedy for ADD/ADHD
1:13 The benefits of vitamin B3
2:27 Vitamin B3 for ADD or ADHD symptoms
3:20 Niacinamide supplements
In this video, we’re going to talk about some fascinating data from the research of Dr. William Kaufman, M.D. He found that niacinamide in high doses is an effective remedy for ADD (attention deficit disorder) or ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).
Vitamin B3 is the precursor for NAD, which helps your cells extract energy from food. When you eat, the NAD molecule helps take the electrons from your food and turn them into ATP for energy.
Vitamin B3 helps your nerve cells get more energy. It may help decrease hyperactivity and increase focus at the same time!
Nutrient deficiencies can cause the brain and nervous system to become hyperexcited. Niacinamide is a water-soluble version of vitamin B3 that can help energize your neurons and effectively mitigate ADD or ADHD symptoms.
Because niacinamide is water-soluble, it doesn’t stay in the body long. This means you should take about 250 mg six to eight times per day. This can also be effective for ADD or ADHD in children.
It’s also important to clean up your diet to help with the symptoms of ADD or ADHD. Niacinamide supplements cannot replace a healthy diet. Always check with your doctor before stopping your medications.

I tried it for 30 days. First week I felt horrible, as expected. Similar to keto flu. Afterwards I felt really good and many of my small niggles decreased. But genuinely I just didn’t enjoy it. I got bored, felt thirsty all the time and really craved fruit. Like so much. So I didn’t continue.

Ex ADHD Sufferer here; An even better form of Niacinamide that ive noticed even more is NMN. Gives a nice energetic zip in the morning and lasts a few hours. Then I stack that with N-Acetyl-L Tyrosine, Lions Mane and L-theanine . There’s a few more things in my stack but those are the key ingredients, hope this helps!

So many things can cause adhd symptoms: 1) Improper sleep (sleep apnea issues). 2) Primitive reflexes that have not been integrated. There are simple exercises that can help with this. 3) Nutritional deficiencies. 4) Processed food, preservatives (they're in so much stuff, and not always labeled...like peanut butter and nut butters, butter, dried fruits) and food dyes. Avoid fluoride water (city water usually has flouride). Leaky gut has a connection with ADHD as well.

WOW! I’m 67 and was finally diagnosed with adhd about 4 yrs ago. I was prescribed aderall but recently found it was elevating my BP to dangerous levels. I knew that could be the result but not until it was taken at the dr’s office did I realized how much it elevated my BP. So, now I’ll try this. Decades of living with adhd and it could have been as simple as taking B3; 250mg 6-8 X daily. My granddaughter takes it as well and as a collegiate swimmer she can’t take it during swim season, they burn in excess of 1,000 calories in one practice and during season they have 2-3 practices a day. It does diminish your appetite greatly. Next time 8 go to the grocery store guess what I’m buying?! Thank you for sharing this. Sending to my daughter.

I will definitely be trying this. Like a lot of women, I was not diagnosed with ADHD until my late 30s. We associate the disorder with a lot of the male systems of the H the hyperactivity and in females the H is not as common as is the inability to finish things. Dexedrine is effective but I have anxiety taking it lol I would love to try a natural treatment option. Thank you!

The universe? The universe is a creation, God is the CREATOR and he is the only one who can help you, you dont ask a tree for help either. You go to the direct source and the source is Jesus Christ who is God manifested in flesh, God came into his own creation to give us salvation, whoever believes will be saved 🙏

Hi Dr Berg. I love your videos and I often share your videos with my family and friends. In a few of your videos you talk of taking Vitamin K2 with magnesium and vitamin D3. I see there are 2 different types. Mk4 and Mk7. Which would you recommend as the better one. I’m not vegan either. Thank you

I'll give it a shot. The problem i have is eating a healthy diet, if im feeling down and have no motivation most of the time I'm gonna opt for the junk food as i literally don't have the energy, patience or focus to be able to buy healthy food and cook a healthy meal. Or even clean the kitchen enough to be able to cook at all!

I always try to eat better. What I did was get to know ADHD and use it in my favor. Its part of childhood wiring and have been at this for a while. I decided its just a perception and way of being, and I adjusted. But it's obviously better to eat right and get exercise.

Doc, I am looking for the right B3 for my daughter she's 10 and has severe ADD/ADHD since birth. We started giving her Complex Vitamin B and D3 with high doses since 4 months now and there is drastic change in her movement and behavior (calmed down and communicating more often). May Allah bless you for all your efforts.

Hi, Have you seen Dr Chris MasterJhon's article on b3 supplementation and the need to add methyl group such as TMG to limit their depletion in the liver while supplementing ? Because it seems to make a lot of sense, specifically at high dose... Thanks for ur imput, this vitamin changes my life, but I feel better adding TMG and Glycine with it 😊

I am on wellbutrin extended release which is pretty mild but it still helps a lot. You can't expect that to do it all for you though- exercise, intermittent fasting and generally eating nutrient dense foods does so much for our mental health. I HATE that everyone in our society has been brainwashed into thinking that the only thing that matters is money and productivity. Take care of your body/mind and it will take care of you.

Both my adult son and I struggle with add/adhd symptoms. As a child I was diagnosed with hyperactivity disorder, but I knew there was something else wrong because of all the ither symptoms. I believe hyperactivity is simply the adrenal glands producing too much trying to compensate for weakness in other areas like inflammation, vitaminn deficiency, malabsorbtion, food allergies, etc..
