Although we were sad to leave the beautiful beaches of Skagen behind we were NOT disappointed by what we found next!
ABOUT US:
Welcome! We’re Andre and Lisa. A married South African Italian couple, who have been travelling together for almost 20 years, to more than 40 countries. In 2018 we gave up our professional careers and all our personal possessions in order to explore the world as full-time nomads.
Over the past year, we have travelled through 11 countries in Europe with our 20-year-old Motorhome. Yes, sandy beaches is one of the first things that comes to mind when I think of Denmark. We spent a lot of time on the beach during the summer when I was a child. It was about 15 minutes walk to Trekanten, a small but excelent beach, from where we lived.

(Not counting Greenland and the Faroe Islands) Mainland Denmark has more than 7,300 kilometers of coastline/beach (or more than 4500 miles), which is more than Spain and Turkey and slightly less than Italy, including 250 Blue Flag beaches and 50 Blue Flag marinas, so it's fairly easy finding crowd-free beaches.

I'm looking forward to Italy with you guys, I have done the North with our friends (who love Italy), but nothing of the South (if you plan to go that way?) The wife and I must make the effort and do the deep South sometime, September is a great month in Europe for the van , Kids back at school etc. Great filming btw as always 🙂

Thanks! Apart from what we travelled last year we've only done a bit of northern Italy by van about 4 years ago and in 2010 went to Sicily but that's about it. We're keen to get to Siicly to catch the end of the windy season so we're definitely going south! The plan is also to see more of the east coast.

Yes, we have a lot of coastline, over 8000 km. Nowhere in DK is there more than 50 miles to the coast.

You do need a fishing license in Denmark which is available from post offices, tourist offices and fishing shops. You can choose to purchase a license that is valid for one day, one week or a year and you can use it all over the country. You can see more here (fisketegn.dk/en). Interestingly in Norway you don't need a permit for angling in the ocean but you do for fresh water.

Welcome to our channel! ❤ We've been pretty lucky so far. The biggest problem was a brake issue in Norway but we managed to get it fixed after a week or so waiting for a part.

Lots of lol moments in this one (imo), which was good cos I'm not really into beaches when I travel. Probably cos we're spoiled with beautiful beaches in my country and usually overseas beaches don't compare well (plus always so much else to see that we don't have in my country)

Your comment is a LOL moment for us because we completely identify with you. Coming from Cape Town, we are definitely also spoilt with stunning beaches and endless coastline and we often have to stop ourselves from laughing out load at what some Europeans consider 'nice beaches'. Perhaps that's also why we were so taken by the beautiful sandy and spacious beaches in Denmark. Of course, one day we still hope to be able to explore the beautiful beaches of Oz...

@@WeWillNomad but I did love the coastlines in Greece. Are you planning to take Milli there?? Another good place to do winter I would think? Edit: never mind, forgot you told me you were planning to do Greece &/or Albania when you get back from SA (I'm stuck home with Covid and bit vague atm)

@@WeWillNomad In Australia you can go to the beach every day for 29 years without having to visit the same beach twice. If you want to avoid sharks, stick to the north Australian beaches. Sharks don't come there. They are afraid of the crocodiles.
