Mazda could get 22k rpm out of a stock 12A on the factory engine dyno before they exploded…in the mid90s my 200,000km 12A S2Rx7 with a bent Nikki carb linkage and obnoxious exhaust was dead even with brand new GENIII HSV/SScommo…

@@misfirerotary In Japan rotors are nicknamed "omutsubi" because traditionally they are shaped like triangles. 🍙🍙 Omutsubi are basically rice balls with seaweed wrapping and have various flavors/things added to the rice.

@@misfirerotary i have had a couple or rotorys in my early years, had a rx7 first gen sa, bridge. 89-90’s owned🤔 cant remember the year, 94 moved too japan. Tokyo/ 96 bought a fc3s turbo, zenki. Fully rebuilt that engine with a side port/ over sized exhaust port timing crazy, t88 turbo trust, gredy inter, lsd, shocks were amimiea/ some exterior parts pully, injections/ rmajic aero kit, muffler was night racing, seats recaro, quick shift, pc map, few other odds and ends, it was a gtr version. Pearl white. Crazy low and load. Everyone hated me. Coming home at 2-3 am after drifting / 0-400/ highway racing. I was an original racer / bad boy of the 90’s in japan. I know all the major drivers/ companies owners / as i use to race them on the streets. Drink with them / ear with them/ pickup chicks. Cars and chicks - thats the way. Non of this youtube selfy shitz nowadays man. Guys built kick ass cars too impress chicks, then there friends.
