I found that they like to put a lot of spices in their food, especially turmeric! And every dish has onions, the first ingredient put into the pot to cook is onions, which is very different from our country! Although I dare not eat camel, that camel rice looks the most delicious! That resort in the desert is very beautiful and the owner is very kind. Thank you very much for sharing, great job! 👍🥰🙌

the museum you were standing in front is where I use to live, I was working in Riyadh during Gulf war and spent my three years there, this episode is going to be nostalgic, it been three since I have left Saudi Arabia but I think I might go visit Saudi Arabia again with my wife this time.

Excellent food. Hi guys I am a Persian cuisine chef, I am so excited to help set up a Persian restaurant named Rumi soon in Riyadh, I was there in May to meet the people behind the Idea. I thoroughly enjoyed staying In the city, got the pleasure of meeting and eating in beautiful Riyadh. So glad to go back in a couple of weeks

I really love that you immerse yourself with the culture of the country you're in, visiting lesser known areas, and not just having a set itinerary of the most visited tourist attractions. And with the food presentation esp. of the Maqlooba, you're making my mouth water 😁 I have never tried camel meat, but that looks really delicious. Dammam next? I'm excited!

Hi David ...Shabana/Hailey here....The resort has it all....sweet dates...coffee,,,orange tree/fruit...the playful animals and of course the pretty horse...so cute......also walking on pebbles...great for circulation....The Maqlooba looks so delicious/tasty...actually all the foods and eating with hands ..best way to enjoy your meal...nice place for a vacation.As always Thanks David....safe travels Peace/Blessings.

Maqluba in Iraq, we put cauliflower and carrots next to the eggplant and potatoes, cook it like dolma, all with rice in one pot to take in some flavors, then turn it over to eat. Unlike Maqluba in Saudi Arabia, each item is cooked separately. Very generous people, I love Hail, and the place is beautiful and clean. Thank you, David.

Maqloubi is native Palestinian meal , all other Arabs knew it from Palestinians, the way they made it is wrong, shr should use short rice and the ingredients r not correct, and we never eat rice with hand, they should use spoons
