@@SirAuronthehonorableNo. Harry needed to die when the other Horcruxes were destroyed. If he died too early, no one would be left to kill Voldemort. And Voldemort would’ve had another reign of terror where people are dying every day.

@@incitingariot9925 True, but Maggie Smith and I think Richard Harris got nominated for the first movie. Rickman in the last gave the best performance of any actor in the whole series. EDIT: I was wrong. Maggie Smith got nominated for a different movie that year. Still, as the fields got opened a little by 2011, it seems like it should have been easier for a genre movie to get a nomination since it was no longer limited to five.

Why did he kill Dumbledore?
@CornballLyric
@CornballLyric Ай бұрын
@mystery0223oj Because Dumbledorr was dying after he used the Riddle family's cursed ring to try and bring his sister back from the dead. When Snape killed Dumbledore he both spared Draco Malfoy from from having to do so and made Dumbledore's death count for something useful. The moment Snape killed Dumbledore he showed his absolute loyalty to Voldemort meaning his presence among the Death Eaters would never be questioned again by any one. It made his position as a spy at the heart of Voldemorts empire safe and secure as well. He absolutely never wanted to kill Dumbledore but Dumbledore new it was the only way to both save Draco and make sure Snape would eventually be able to become head master of Hogwarts which then allowed him to secretly protect all the students there from the excesses of the Death Eaters stationed at Hogwarts. He was also able to help Harry out from the side lines like when he took the sword of Godric Gryffindor from Hogwarts and made sure Harry and his friends were able to find it right when they needed it. So Dumbledore made Snape promise to kill him for all of the above reasons. Severus Snape without a doubt became one of the most courageous characters in the HP universe ✨️.

Only after attempting to get lily for himself by getting James and Harry killed and asking voldy to not kill lily. He was in on the murders and thought he could just swoop in and get Lily for himself after helping murder her husband and infant! But she wouldn't get out of the way, so voldy killed her, breaking his word to Snape. Only then did he go to Dumbledore, not because he loved lily and wanted to protect her son, but because he was ANGRY that voldy killed "his girl" and wanted to get his revenge. In the movies they made it much more romantic and heroic, and don't get me wrong in the end he was a hero, but he was a creep who lusted after Lily and only helped Harry Potter because he was key in his revenge against voldy. He had a shit childhood and he was bullied at school, I'm not saying he doesn't have valid reasons for being the way he is, but twisting the way he is to make him more empathetic is just not true to the story. Snape runs off of hate and vengeance, not deep seeded love.

@olandoblen5791 His part in Dumbledores plan to defeat Voldemort required him to live his entire life as the villain everyone hated in order to convince Voldemort and his allies he could be trusted. Then after all that he was the one who had to kill Dumbledore (again to convince Voldemort he was truly loyal) who he loved and admired. His entire life was a tragedy all to fulfill his role to defeat Voldemort and thus save humanity.

Alan Rickman died because of complications of pancreatic cancer. He was diagnosed with terminal PC back in 2015 long after the last Harry Potter movie was filmed and released. What you're referring to might be his 2005 prostate cancer diagnosis, but he didn't sacrifice time with his family, because he underwent a surgery and made a full recovery and live for another 11 years.

What many people don’t know about patronus if they only watched the movies and never read the books is that when a person has a deep love or connection with another person, their patronus can change to reflect those feelings. In the 6th book “Half Blood Prince” we learn that Tonk’s patronus changed into what resembles a werewolf because of her love for Lupin(they had a complicated relationship) and in the last book “Deathly Hallows” Harry asks Dumbledor if its strange that Snape’s patronus is the same as his mother’s (after seeing Snape’s memories in the pensive) and Dumbledor responds that it doesn’t seem very strange at all

But he also protected Harry in certain circumstances that he could have easy let Harry die from or get seriously hurt. I don't think you would have had an issue with Harry being kicked out of school so that it would be harder for the death eaters to locate Harry and Harry was not a wizard. Lily and Severus could NOT have ever been together without Tom Riddles' total victory. Snape's destiny was to be the double agent providing the key Intel on Voldemort. Lily's was to bring Harry into the world. The slightest hint of any bond between those two and Voldemort would have twigged to Harry's role as the unintentional horcrux. The part about Harry having to DIE, sojourn in the afterlife, and rise again is cut-and-pasted from a much older story. The only part missing is the messenger angel hitting James upside the head with a 2x4 and telling him that it's his JOB to marry the immaculate Lily 😮 ! It's not Rowling's fault that there are only a few basic story plots in all of human history 😂 !
