As a Finnish person I can say that this is mostly true but the "little to no homework" part actually depends on schools. Also you forgot to mention that all of education, even university/college is free here which probably helps too

I have to wake up at 5:30 AM for school and come home at 3:15 PM and each class lasts 40-50 mins with 10 mins of recess. we have tests and a figging ocean of homework every day, and exams almost every. single. *month.* and we only have 3 months of holiday IN THE WHOLE SEMESTER so yeah, moving to finland sounds like heaven to me

i love my high school in the US - two separate buildings with diff classes in each across a somewhat busy street from each other, both having 4 stories, 65 minute classes, and some people even have classes at our brother school which requires you to run over to in order to arrive in time since we only have 5 minutes to travel from one class to another :DD

Finland is the 9th most depressed country. We shouldn’t trust the happiness index because Finnish society presses people to be happy, and if they’re unhappy, they should pretend to be happy to not ruin it for everyone else.
