I am serious when I tell you to let everyone know about Tom Saguto Golf. Please let a dozen of your friends know about Tom ASAP......I watch many others on KZfaq and this guy is the best instructor I have found, hands down. It's a shame there are only 110k subscribers. This guy deserves a 500k at a minimum and then 1M. I don't know Tom at all, but I want him to stay around as I have learned so much. I am 45 years old, been golfing since since I was 12 and have made more swing changes w/him than any other instructor. At my best ~ 10 years ago, I was a 5-6 handicap--I feel I can get back there w/Tom's help. Again, let ALL your friends and family know about him and his channel/school. Again folks, I have NO affiliation w/Tom or his channel; just a genuine dude wanting to get the word out about Tom and build his channel to the level it needs to be at, nothing more. Tom, keep all the amazing content coming and thanks for all you do my friend.

Okay - so which one is it going to be, folks?? Do you: 1) Keep Tom all to yourself until you perhaps deem at some future date that you have finally taken enough money from your buddies, thereby risking that Tom may disappear in the interim due to anemic sub growth resulting from such motives adversely affecting YT's algorithms, or 2) Recognize that you already have a sufficient head start on said buddies, and that by sharing Tom with them you'll step up your competition and thus further sharpen your own skills, elevating your respective games to an even higher level while simultaneously ensuring SagutoGolf's long-term viability??? 🙄🤔 Hmm..........tough choice?...............😂 Man-up, y'all. You won't regret it. Get this thing to a million subs, and in the process you'll end up playing the kind of golf that would have previously been just a wild pipe dream! 😎 Thanks for your very kind endorsement and support, @amgolfer! I will vouch 100% that there is no affiliation, nor was there any solicitation for your remarks... Now.... *SPREAD THE WORD!!!!* Cheers, Tom

@@SagutoGolf Tom, I'm looking to join up soon. It seems to be $12 a month now. Still great value and the extra two dollars won't make any difference to me signing up but perhaps you could qualify? Excellent instruction Tom. For individuals striving to become skilled golfers, this is probably the most important video you have made. The most important fundamental for consistent and therefore good golf is that the ball has to be hit below its equator before the clubface contacts the ground. There is no way to get around this fact and Tom is emphatically telling us this for that very reason. Master this drill and the rest will come much easier. Nice work Tom.

Thanks Bob - I appreciate your kind words and support, and I'm very glad to know that this episode resonated well with you! You are absolutely correct in your assessment. This is indeed how the pros "crack the whip", and why the ball makes that sound and disappears so quickly when they hit it! Cheers! Tom
@jakepadgett5569
@jakepadgett5569 3 жыл бұрын
Spot on assessment. You cant become a real golfer until you can consistently hit that ball below the equator and then take a little turf. I struggle with a fat shot sometimes so im not there yet but my number one goal is too consistently do this and not care about the result as much. Am i striking it in the right spot and taking my divot in front of the ball is the number one thing for an amateur like me who is capable of a birdie or a triple bogey.

In my last practice, instead of pounding away my bucket without any plan, I decided I would use your 1/2 swing and try to achieve the proper impact position as you specified. I even put green masking tape on the face of my 7 iron to see where contact was being made. I was stunned to see the next 5 shots hit the sweet spot to within 90%, and was amazed at how easy it is to get good distance without effort. I was hitting the 7 iron 110-120 yards.

Welcome aboard, Andy! I sincerely appreciate your kind words, and I'm very glad to know that my instruction content and teaching style are resonating with you!! By the way, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that a significant percentage of my online school members are in their 60's, 70's, and 80's - i.e.: a smorgasbord of chronic ailments, physical limitations, back/shoulder/knee/hip pain, arthritis, and joint replacements - and they are overwhelmingly elated to experience the dramatic pain-free game improvement, seemingly effortless power, and resulting enjoyment that this swing affords them. It all begins with a proper setup which provides for a free-flowing motion. Upon that good foundation a repeatable swing which produces consistently crispy impact can be built. Have you looked into the comprehensive, sequential learning platform of the online school yet? That's where - among many other courses and lessons covering various aspects of the game - you will find very detailed instruction and drills that take you through the entire swing step-by-step, position-by-position from setup to finish. Thousands of men and women from across the globe - including many accomplished, low-handicap, competitive players and spanning all age ranges from junior to super-senior - are now enjoying the best golf of their lives as a result and their unsolicited testimonials tell the story quite well: saguto.golf/p/sagutogolfreviews. At just $14.99/month or $149.99 per year the value in terms of what you get for that price point is beyond comprehension, and based on proven results it represents by far the best golf instruction deal on the planet. And if you'd like to first "dip a toe in the water" prior to diving into the school, then here is a link to my FREE mini course “The Top 3 Things You Need to Be a Great Ball Striker”: go.saguto.golf/ That is where you can learn some key aspects of the swing system I teach in a more structured manner. You don't need the flexibility of a Romanian gymnast - or even of this far less pliable golf instructor - to execute this swing, experience great ball striking, and reclaim - or even exceed - yardages from years past. I hope you'll give the school some thought. Thanks for your message and have fun getting back into this greatest of games!! Tom

Looking forward to trying this on the course Saturday after taking some swings on the range. I like the sensation you get with it and the mental picture. It seems to be perfect for irons. Do you recommend a similar approach with the driver, even though the goal is not to hit down on the ball nearly as much? Thanks, Tom! I am signing up for your school, simply because you are worth $10 a month for all you do here on KZfaq.

It absolutely applies to the driver, @Brother_Derek. Don't think of this secret sauce move as "hitting" down, instead think of it as "cracking the whip". Impact is going to make a different sound and the ball is going to get really small really fast when you execute this correctly!! By the way, while I appreciate the gesture, there's far more to the school than simply supporting me! So many folks across the globe are now playing the best golf of their lives as a result of it. @SagutoGolf

Hi Steve, You start with your weight forward (55/45 generally, but up to 60/40 for the longer clubs), gradually add more forward weight to the top (70/30), 80/20 halfway down, 90/10 impact, and 95/5 finish. The wrists hinge gradually on autopilot throughout the backswing in response to the body motions and the weight of the clubhead. Cheers! Tom

Another Saguto golf tip that just works. Took it to the range yesterday and was nailing sweet iron shots down the range either straight or with a little draw. Only problem was I was nailing my irons 10, 15, 20 yards further than usual (according to my launch monitor). I'll need to be cognizant of that when I play otherwise I'll be air mailing greens lol.

Several questions for you Tom. 1. Were you taught a roll release earlier in your career? 2. I'm guessing you were specifically taught an old school swing when you were younger... high hands, drop in the slot, roll release? Surely, you are familiar with the modern swing that is now dominating the Tour and seems to be more prevalent in golf instruction to amateurs?... stronger than neutral grip, flatter deeper backswing, aggressive pushing off the ground to get aggressive rotation, body more open at impact, less aggressive - 'passive' release, more abbreviated follow through (Hogan short irons, Tommy Fleetwood vs early Hogan, Nicklaus, Mickelson). I was never really specifically taught an old school swing. Stack and Tilt seems to have more in common with the modern rotational swing than the old school swing. Yes? 3. My main question (sorry so long)... are you smashing your 6 iron 200 yards with that great aggressive release because that is what stack and tilt teaches or because you've been taught from the early days to release aggressively (roll arms/hands to square it) and so you brought that mindset to stack and tilt?? and perhaps you changed from arm rolling release to less arm roll and just more unhinging/down cocking/general smash the fug out dat thang :-)? 4. To many questions?

How about just watching this story of my “conversion” instead as you may find many answers in there?: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hrNon7F_17O0dZ8.html Short answer - I do not actively roll my wrists, and yes - I am hitting the ball significantly further and with far greater ball flight control because of the S&T system. I'm very glad to know that my channel's instruction is resonating with you, Louis. Nice job incorporating it into your swing!! With the wrists unhinging down to get maximum power , I totally agree . But if you start off with a neutral grip and square club face at address you will end up with an open club face at impact with the unhinging down method . With the unhinging down method you either need a closed club face at address or a very strong grip at address to reciprocate a square club face at impact . Also at impact the back of your left hand will be parallel to the target line , or in other words facing straight out in front of you . I find this method takes a lot of the timing issues out of the swing . Tom ,I’d like to know your thoughts. Cheers. And thanks.

As you will know from viewing my channel's content, Tommy, I embrace simplifying the swing so we do not have to rely on timing and/or exceptional hand-eye coordination, thus garnering consistently great results without having to continuously work so hard. So we put in the time and effort on the front end to build the swing and ingrain the motions, and then we can enjoy low maintenance, powerful, predictable, body-friendly ballstriking bliss for the rest of our lives! With regard to the grip - strong, weak, or neutral - I tell folks to let their ball striking be their guide. And since the stock ball flight with this swing is a push-draw, I do not recommend a closed face at address. I suggest re-watching this video as, based on what you are saying, I'm not sure the lesson resonated properly with you. Also, here's an impact lesson from the channel archives that supplements this current episode quite nicely and which may further help in your understanding of what we are trying to accomplish: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fMtinrRlmcfeemg.html Beyond this, it is important to understand that the videos, lessons, and drills on this free channel - while fully aligned with the swing method I teach - address a variety of topics, issues, feels, and/or common flaws/fixes from one episode to the next. They are certainly not intended to be taken as a sequential learning platform like the structured curriculum of my online school, which I strongly recommend to anyone who truly wishes to get on the proper path towards owning this swing. If you've not already enrolled, then for just $10 US/month or $99 US/year you'll have unlimited access to a comprehensive members-only system for the full swing, the short game, and much more. The school's intuitive course layout greatly simplifies the entire process through succinct, step-by-step videos, and I'm regularly adding new content. There's even a members' forum where you can ask me specific swing-related questions, interact with others in the SagutoGolf community, and suggest new content ideas, plus you'll also have access to all exclusive KZfaq paid channel members-only content at no additional charge. This will really put you on the fast track towards learning everything in a well-organized, self-guided fashion.
