If you're looking for things to do in Lanzarote, Deiland Shopping Centre is one of the best things to do in Playa Honda, outside of eating and drinking!
It is a great way to kill an hour or two - all of the cab drivers know it and if you walk downhill towards the sea, there are a few nice tapas bars / restaurants on the front.
There are also some more traditional bars round the back streets where you can experience proper tapas culture, mooching from one bar to another and having a little plate in each.
If you can speak a little bit of the language, it will go a long way in a town like this.
