The best sim racing seat ever!!!!!

This seat is from a BMW E92 from 2009 and is by far the best seat i have used.
It is wired in to 12v to give me the original electrical functions the seat had from new.
Best part it was £40 delivered!!!!!

Hi mate. Does your seat have memory function and if so does it work? I’ve got an E46 coupe seat and can’t get the memory function to work. You mentioned an Arduino for some other components on your rig. Thanks

Could you make a more indepth video on how you mounted it to your rig? I’d love to use an e9x seat. In the same vid you could show how you got power to work too. Thank you for this vid too.

Bruh you got a nice set up, I just got a t300 GT rs coz I wasn't getting any faster using the g920, Plus the t300 allow me to swop wheels, I want to know what it is like with a GT wheel, I am over the moon with the t300, I only SIM race in VR now, I can't do a TV screen again, AMS 2 is bad ass in VR, I only got a Quest 2 and a 12gb 3060, A WaveVR elite 5000mah battery strap allows me to sim race for hours with no uncomfortable feelings, AMS 2 is fantastic...

I am about to blip to the scrap yard, But I don't know if a regular car seat will fit my Rig The length is about 11 inches and width is between 13 inches and 17 inches, You couldn't tell me what the measurements is please...

great job brother! yeh GT seat not the best i had to mod mine glad i didn't pay for it o0f. So reason i'm here is i got a black leather car seat last summer which when arrived was all electrics lol .., so i'd abandoned it to a dark corner just a clear out n just thinking maybe i can get this chair to work with an old psu., so was looking for help of how to rig up a PSU to power it to maybe replace the GT Omega or something :) ., Nice Rig btw yeh i love my 5.1 for racing :P

Hi you will need a PSU that can handle 20 amps for the seat to work any lower and it won't have enough power for the motors

@@CKone41 yeh got it going with a laptop power brick tho it powered it it ended up all the way back n doesn't move forward like its lost its bearing.. the recline function works as normal tho.. maybe just need to undo the terminals for it to reset .. thanks for the reply.

2:26 did you have to use a metal grinder?? it wont fit without grinding that piece off?

Yes I used a plasma cutter but a grinder will do

It was really easy under the seat all the motors meet and I just connected to the positive and negative with a 12 supply. I didn't connect the heated seat element though

Do yours have memory? And did you disconnect the seat belt pretensioner? I don’t fancy it exploding on me mid race. 😂
