Thanks for the info about the two types of guitars, didn't know that yet. Was looking for the Larry Carlton S7 but by the S900 lloks and sounds better, therefore I could sell some gear which the GTRS allready has inside and the pickups sounds very good like a strat sounds. I'm playing ambient so this guitar suits it well. Can always by a strymon padal for upgrading the ambient vibe.

Hey! Yeah, I've heard great stuff about the Sire guitars. They seem like excellent value. But I haven't played one, so I can't really comment on the sound and feel... The S900 certainly has more features with all of the inbuilt FX and such. So I guess the choice really depends on how much you'd use that side of things. (Maybe check out some other reviews of the GTRS app to see what you think of all the sounds.) Also, if your looking for an all-in-one ambient powerhouse check out their Mooer Ocean Machine. You might like it for less money than a Strymon. Anyway, hope that helps ; )

Great comparison. Do both of these use the G-LB=P1 battery? Also, what frequency does the S900 transmit on? Is there any potential interference with cell phones (2.4GHz)?

Hey! From the specs, both guitars appear to use the same 4000mA battery. But, keep in mind, you'll get a bit less battery life on the S900 when it's in wireless mode. I'm not sure on the transmission frequency (I assume it's probably 2.4GHz). However, you'd have to check with GTRS/Mooer customer support. That said, you can also use the 1/4" output on the S900 as normal. So if there's any issues, you always have a back up.
