Mosin is a classic and always does its job, but for me its the Tundra. Seems to give me more reliability then the blaze and the additional zoom over the PU does help.

I remember the camo-sprayed Mosin with hunting scope and a bipod.. those were the days.

For me it’s the SVD, but when you take abundance into the equation, then the Tundra.

When 6x got added LAR became my favorite. Everyone forgets the LAR with 6x.... Why? Good distance plus full auto capability in .308

It is probably good to mention that the tundra/savannah have an edge over the mosin in the optic, with the hunting scope having far greater zoom than the measily 3.5x of the mosin’s PU scope

Thanks for this! Pretty expected results, I have never really considered the VSS/ASVAL to be snipers due to how much they suck at range, but I guess they have their place at shorter range. In fact whenever I find a VSS I slap a kobra sight on and use them for CQB. If only they had 30-round mags...

Will never forget my first snipe in the entire game was with the LAR, Still very newbie to the game I found a guy who was battling a couple of people in the town over, he died and was going to get his stuff, we chat for a while on our way there and eventually got into a Xbox party together so we could speak over longer distances. We started approaching the town through some woods and I was walking right by him when he said he saw someone on the roof of some apartment buildings, we both pulled our guns out and he said “yeah that’s him! That’s the fucker who killed me. I’m going to sneak up on him” I replied. “I got a better idea” and just shot him in the head with the LAR I was carrying, ever since then I’ve always viewed the LAR as a reliable gun

I have a m91 tiger in real life (svd) cost me $2400 the availability of a follow up while hog hunting and target shooting is so awesome. The knock down of a 7.62x54r is very close to the newer .308 but it’s about 1/3 of the price

The blaze has and will always be my favourite sniper simply because of the damage and as said in this video, the close quarters capabilities..

I love the pioneer mainly because of its versatility and ease of finding one. Plus it can use the allied suppressor and 6x acog.

You also gotta remember that the mosin is limited to a 3x scope and in my opinion isn’t that clear at longer ranges, also adding a suppressor to the pioneer makes it the quietest thing in the game and is sooo satisfying to kill with

I took 7 alts and got them all the marksman achievement with the same gillie and the same rifle. I used the Savanna . The recoil is excessive however it hits so hard. I was finally killed near a military checkpoint outside of Electro and lost the rifle. I now use a Tundra and am very happy with it.

We need to point out here just how much of a laserbeam the VSS is. It is insanely accurate in full auto fire, more so than any other assault rifle by a large margin, making controlled sprays / bursts on medium range a breeze.

I find the Blaze is hugely inconsistent in terms of accuracy. I rarely pick it up unless I don't have a long range weapon yet. Its all preference at the end of the day. I think the Tundra is the best for consistency imo

VSS is not ment to be used as a Sniper rifle, it´s maximum for mid-range. and its made for secret op´s at night time IRL.

mosin, blaze, tundra. I like them all because they all spawn in civil areas. Of course I prefer blaze and tundra because of the hunting scope but a mosin kill with the pu scope feels so much more satisfying. honestly mosin, and the double barrel shotgun and you can take anyone out.

The only advantage the Mosin has over the tundra and Savannah is it’s zero distance, which means absolutely nothing with a 3x pu scope…

Geared up, I prefer the pioneer Suppressed with a 6x acog and its still a 1 shot kill with ballistic helmets

I used to always just assume the blaze was trash but then I actually started using it and realized I was so wrong

I had a feeling it'd be the mosin. Compared to other snipers, mosin feels like I'm actually shooting something.

Another good part to cover is ammo rarity, doesn’t affect performance but if you can’t feed it you can’t use it, mosin and SVD win by far simply because 7.62x54R is easier to find (in my opinion)

The savanna and tundra are my absolute favourite, don’t really like the mosin or the scope though

I think in practice the tundra is the best. It doesn't require a mag, has a higher chance of killing someone than knocking them out at mid range and also takes the clearest and easiest to use optic.

I will never consider the blaze to be best, I have a clip of me shooting at a guy about 100 meters away and the dispersion on the bullets are so high it missed his head. I don’t think I’ve ever picked it up again

The savanna is just **chef's kiss** outright horrible. It will get you killed. The kick makes it impossible for you to see where your bullet went, and you're the most likely to lose your target while using it.

What a lot of you are missing is that it says "Statistically" in the video title. So very important things, like the Tundra's ability to keep optics on the enemy between shots, is not included. Neither is the Hunting Scope's greater zoom capabilities.

LAR is a Battle Rifle. Automatic Marksman Rifle or Heavy Assault Rifle - depends on by whom and how it's used. To be honest, I would include it in both Assault Rifle and Sniper Rifle comparisons, just like the VSS ( AS VAL is basicaly the same as VSS but with standart mag 20 instead of 10 in VSS and different buttstock and considerate as Assault Rifle). So I think that LAR should be compared with both Sniper Rifles and Assault Rifles just like VSS Also PU is bad compared to hunting scope so I woudn't place Mosin that high - convinience of use is a huge factor - doesn't matter how strong the gun is if you can't properly aim

I don't consider the VSS and ASVAL as snipers. They're special operations Assault Rifles. Especially considering they are capable of fully automatic fire.

Oh, this is really helpful. But still a major player in which sniper rifle is best should be scopes and loudness (since the entire point of a sniper is to be stealth). For instance it is way easier to aim at longer distances with a hunting scope than a PU, same goes for nighttime (since only a few can have them attached) or even if you consider loudness you can have even more changes (Considering how many shots you can have before suppressor decay). I would say, for me at least, Tundra/savanna is my go to weapon until i can have a fully attached SVD

One thing that you failed to consider, which I personally consider the most important factor is suppressor compatibility, for which the VSD and Pioneer are best and the blaze is the worst, making the VSD the best all around sniper once again

The problem with Blaze is that if you don't kill/ko with your two shots, you are the the one to be killed. So yeah, SVD is my favourite.

Best one is the sporter. 30 rounds, just lay it down.

Id guess SVD, 2nd place Mosin. While both have controversal sights, the ammunition is a heck of a punch, feels faster and does more damage against armour compared to WIN rifles from what it feels like. I cant wait to find out wich rifle really is the best.

Didn’t know the pioneer was so rare. I found two at a police event yesterday (kept the good condition one with a acog/rds hybrid sight.) .556 doesn’t seem like a very good round to put in a sniper rifle.

Tundra bullet speed and nicer scope make it better than the Mosin imo. Mosins nice but I really struggle to hit a moving target with it at range

Burst damage doesn't matter when you get barrel stuffed

CR-550 is the go to for ghillie sniper loadout. The dark wood helps with concealment. Helps to not get spotted easily when running thru the night.

I like the west side, the mosin is a little too slow, with too little ammo for the bears. So I have to take that into consideration, which is why I try to get a SVD. And a repairable suppressor is nice
