I picked up a very basic Samyang 12mm f2 lens and it's proven to be quite capable. Fully manual but it's sharp and super compact

Most of my videos were shot on that lens paired with an a6300 / or a6400... great content.

love your channel and this lens. As long as I own a Sony aps-c camera, I will use this lens. That said, it is NOT “basically silent” - at least mine isn’t. Others have made a similar observation. I can easily hear the AF motor if I use the on-board mic. If I attach an external mic, I can largely avoid the noise. This doesn’t bother me because I primarily shoot stills, but a videographer might be very annoyed with the sound.

Good video and information. I have this lens and I haven’t purchased my camera yet. I’m going to buy the a6400. I’ve bought most of my accessories first, hoping the price of the camera would go down since it’s two years old.

I love my sigma 16mm f.1.4 lens on my secondary camera. Paired with a Canon m6 mk ii it is amazing. It really holds that 32.5MP with incredible clarity and sharpness.

I just bought this lens. I shot a video, amazing Clarity but it made me look thinner and smaller. Is that because it was too far or because it's 16mm?

I’m thinking about buying the Sony ZV-E10 to start my KZfaq channel for my home setup & even though I have the iPhone 13 Pro and the AVerMedia PW315 Web camera I want to come out with a good impression but at the same time I’m not trying to spend unnecessary money on a expensive lens so I wanted to know your honest opinion & the real difference between the Sony Lens that you are talking about & the Silver Sony 50mm f/1.8 Mid-Range Lens for Sony E Mount Lens that Amazon sells for $348?

Just start! Like today. Get some content out and grow with the channel. Its you and your content that matter, gear is less of a concern. Having decent audio is more important than video.

For the life of me I don't see how anyone can call this humongous lens compact. And for all its size it doesn't have stabilization. I have this lens and love the speed which you definitely need on APS-C bodies but that size, weight, and bulk restrict the times I slap it on.

i have the option in buying a sony a6000 like new with this lens the sigma f1.4 16 mm for 500 and a sonya6000 with kit lens, somewhat okay condition for 350
