i also definitely wouldn’t say sunscreen is “expensive”…. it’s actually very affordable, but finding a formula that works for your skin is what’s difficult. esp for those of us with sensitive/oily skin.

I've been using Pipette exclusively for several months now and LOVE it so much. While it may not be the best fit for people who don't wear any makeup, for me it's perfect since I wear makeup or at least tinted BB cream on a daily basis. It's a bit greasy feeling if I just wear it by itself, but under makeup it feels SO NICE, I forget I'm even wearing sunscreen underneath.

Because of listening to you, at 31, I started wearing sunscreen every day. I have also been making my girls wear suncreen every day (summer and winter) they were 4 and 6 when I started to integrate it in their daily routine. Now they do it right after they brush their teeth and wash their face. They use cerave gentle face wash and then use the cerave sunscreen (I like that one because it has a pump so they don't make a mess). Thanks Hyram!

When I was a student in 2020 I saw your budget skincare video (full routine for $50 I think?) and when you recommended sunbum for face as the only affordable, acceptable sunscreen I RAN to the drugstore. I've been using it since and I love how it feels on my face.

I’ve been using the Bliss Block Star based on your videos and I love it. I am super pale and you cannot see the tint, it actually helps correct my redness just a little. The scent can be a bit much the first couple days wearing it, but after a few days I stopped noticing it.

I was wondering for so long if you have tried Isntree sunscreen and was so happy to see it mentioned! Its fantastic! Doesnt burn my eyes, the dewy finish is gorgeous and it blends in very easily. ❤️

I bought the tinted cerave sunscreen to find that it’s WAY too dark for me. I love the Native sunscreen and mixing them work well for me. So Native is great alone but also great to lighten any tinted sunscreen!

THANK YOU!! ive been looking around my local drugstores for good cheaper sunscreens without a white cast since im brown, and the only good ones ive found were all US chemical sunscreens, or very much had white casts. you're honestly a lifesaver when it comes to sunscreens, only recommending what you know is safe for people and the environment, has the best ingredients, and wont make us people of color look ashy as hell!

I just found you in the past 2 weeks, binge watched so many hours of your videos and ordered my skincare routine a couple of days ago, I'm glad for this video though because I had made a list of sunscreens and then they were all Korean from before spf ratings were corrected and not available. So thank you for this video and all of your videos, you made this all understandable, I'm 36 and feel like after years of fighting acne I'm educated enough now to actually fix all this hyperpigmentation.

I didn’t even know the Hero one was hyped up 😂 I’ve used it for the past 4 months purely on my own found it and loved it, it works for dry skin too!! It’s legit soooo good, and helps my redness a ridiculous amount 👌🔥

Definitely going to try hero. My favorite spf is Colorescience face shield spf50. That one is amazing! So lightweight. It has 12% zinc oxide, Propanediol, Dimethicone, Niacinamide, Allantoin, Sunflower extract, and so on. It is on the pricey side ($39) but you get 1.8oz!

Always bummed to not see Josie Maran on your lists, especially your sunscreen lists. Her SPF products are the absolute best I've ever tried. I'm a fair skinned, skin cancer survivor, with combo skin - but I've had friends of all skin tones and types try her out and they love her SPF too!!

I love hearing Isntree recommendations! Every time I see a sling care video about sunscreens, I watch just to hear people raving about Osntree Watery Sun Gel. I buy it six bottles at a time from Stylevana and couldn’t be without it…holy grail for sure!

Sunscreens with no cast are the greatest gift I’m on my 20th tube of sunscreen and we are only in July I’ve been wearing sunscreen for about 4 years straight consistently and it has helped my skin alot !!!!

My favorite is the Mineral SunBum line. It goes on so velvety smooth and keeps me super hydrated. Works so well under makeup as a primer for me. I have severely dry skin and pale skin, and I've loved the mineral tinted spf from sunbum. No white cast, either. Would love for Hyram to rate SunBum.

This video was great; I’m always on the hunt for my next favorite sunscreen! My current fav is the Beauty of Joeson Sun Relief. I would love if you included information on water resistance for these reviews. I have trouble finding water resistant formulas that feel good on the skin and I live in a hot climate so if I’m spending more than a couple minutes outside I need something that can withstand some sweating.

The Sun Bum daily mineral moisturizer SPF 30 is my holy grail - it does have a scent but it is from extracts and not from fragrance. It is more affordable than Bliss, has a great tint, and is water resistant. I'm obsessed!

Hi Hyram! I never used to wear sunscreen because I could never find one that isn’t oily on my skin and has no white cast. I never felt comfortable wearing them because they were so heavy on my skin. Until I bought the hero one you recommended! It’s literally so light I don’t even feel it on my face, I just wish it came in a bigger bottle haha! Thanks so much😊

My favorite moisturizer that has 30 spf in it is CeraVe Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion. It is for normal to oily skin, has ceramides & hyaluronic acid. Zero white cast, it lays nice underneath makeup, I love it moisturizer and sunscreen all in one! It isn't a good beach sunscreen but perfect for every day.

I have the Clean Screen Mineral SPF by REN and it's a game changer for my oily skin! My make up applies even better with it on and it's soooog good. Only down side is that it has quite the white cast - but since I'm pale af I don't care. I adore this product

Hi Hyram, im so excited for this video! I have a huge problem with sunscreens stinging my eyes ! I'm a sweaty-spaghetti, and that means whatever is on my forehead is going to end up in my eyes at some point, and so far I have not found a sunscreen that doesn't irritate the heck out if my peepers. :( next time you make a sunscreen recommendation video, can you include one that might be less irritating somehow?? 🤔 ❤️💕

I swear by the Alba Botanica Sensitive Mineral Lotion that I want to say you recommended a few years ago. I have a myriad of skin issues and this has been one of the few I have found that has the coverage to deal with my Vitiligo as well as not messing with my super sensitive skin (sensitive to the point that other lotions have given me chemical burns). It is a thick lotions and since it has zinc the white cast can be high but it wears really well for me and I can actually be out in the sun for more than 30 minutes.

I use the Native Body Sunscreen on my face because you get way more for just a few more dollars and it's almost the exact same ingredients as the face lotion. I have acne prone skin and it has not seemed to cause any pore clogging or breakouts.

I love Bliss Blockstar sunscreen as well. Especially on no makeup days because of the tint. The only problem is what it leaves on my hands! It had stained everything I touch after application- towels, clothes. Anyone else have this issue?!?! I can only get off with oil or cleansing balm, but truly don’t like to waste my cleansing oil everyday for this.

Thank you for your videos Hyram. I've used literally almost all US sunscreens and personally I dislike them all. They are either too greasy and heavy or smell horrible and sting the eyes. Korean sunscreens are the BEST I've tried and I highly recommend the Scinic Enjoy Super Mild Sun Essence SPF 50 !!!! One of the best sunscreens I've used so far.

TRY A’PIEU PURE BLOCK SUNSCREEN. I had tried some of your recommendations for affordable sunscreen before and unfortunately they were too oily, but this sunscreen literally changed my life I’m not even going to change it. Its a korean sunscreen and I feel like I need to share its greatness because it’s so lightweight and doesn’t smell like sunscreen. Plus it’s so affordable it needs an honorable mention, it’s a chemical sunscreen with no white cast FOR LIKE 10 BUCKS

if you have a dark complexion i would not recommend most of these sunscreens because they are mineral which will leave a cast. I recommend to opt for chemical sunscreens!

Seems like mineral sunscreens do not have water resistance as often as chemical ones but he doesn't review those as often if at all.

I love the formula/idea of Pipette but I’m very fair with combo skin (like I could probably use whiteout as concealer in the winter) and it leaves one HECK of a white cast on me. I’ve been asked if I’m ill while wearing it several times.
