I just bought one a little over a month ago. Same color. Playable out of the box. It would be a good value even if it was 400. I had a fender telecaster I changed the pickups and smoothed out the frets and it cost 400. And the tagima is a better guitar.

I bought a baton rouge wide neck acoustic guitar a few weeks ago and it cost more than the tagima. Tuning pegs are terrible and the tuner is not accurate. It's a nice playing guitar and the build quality is good but their choice of componets to save money is poor. Amazing how tagima is so cheap and everything about it is solid. Tuning pegs turn smoothly. Neck is easy to slide your hand down and the frets don't cut your hands.

This guitar is $279 now at my local music shop. It is a nice looking guitar. Seems like they've had a big price increase in a year's time. Is there any other tele copy that would be better at this price level? A Squire Affinity Tele Deluxe is $280.

Unfortunately everything is going up because of supply chain issues due to covid. I haven’t played the affinity tele deluxe but in general the Tagimas have had better fret jobs and QC than other low price brands we have worked with.

It's the most good looking tele I've ever seen. It doesn't looks so big or boxy. Nice. Would you know the fretboard radius if that?

They are definitely good looking! For whatever reason, the fret radius is a mystery to everyone- they don’t list anywhere in their material even to dealers. Maybe someone else can comment??

@@MasonMusicRocks I have a Tagima stratocaster i bought several years ago it is a beautiful guitar model 635 and it will out perform my mim fender strat. you can not go wrong with Tagima .

Asking about this and will get you an answer - you're right though, these guitars are awesome, and are getting a lot more popular. We just got a big shipment in of them and are updating our online stock daily, so it's a great time to grab one up!

Ok so this is apparently top secret information because we are having a hard time tracking it down- so far we can confirm that the tg-530 has a 9.5” radius. Working on getting more info. Stay tuned!

Messias lima Messias I’m not sure I understand- is it more expensive in Brazil? They do have some made in Brazil models that are more $$$- this one is made overseas though. Anyway, we agree that they are excellent! Cheers!

@@MasonMusicRocks I went to check it out and this wt 55 model costs around R $ 1000.00, not the most expensive .... ..... but in the U.S. and the most expensive Canadian models from Tagima in Brazil are sold at excellent prices, and the cause is the dollar valued against the Brazilian real at an exchange rate of 5/1.

OK - so I went back and asked Richy about this - I think it was a slip of the tongue, because this guitar does NOT have locking tuners. We were demo'ing some Reverend Guitars the same day, and I think the lines got crossed. Sorry for the mistake! Good catch though- you were paying attention!

They may not be locking tuners but the guitar stays in tune pretty well.

arkada it’s about as tele as teles get. Definitely has the twang on the bridge pickup.

From what our rep has told us, no. I think the TW even stands for Tagima Woodstock- they just had to stop using that name bc of licensing rights.

It's very close to a standard telecaster size. Maybe a TAD thinner but not by much.

Nope. I have tele mim. The neck, feels, weight, pups and tuners are wayyyy far from the Tagima. I still prefer the mim.

Does any Tagima owners or dealers have an accurate measurement on the fretboard radius? I've heard everything from 9.5" to 16."

Scott Cummings I’ll see if we can get you an answer- but so far it’s been very elusive! Our sales rep Tagima doesn’t even have an answer! It’s not in the literature, so we’ll have to measure. Is there a particular model you’d be most curious about?

@@MasonMusicRocks --Thanks for the reply. The 500, 530/540 (strat models). Thank you! My guess just from looking at the necks is they are somewhere between a 10 and a 12".... I know 9.5 to 10" seems minuscule, but I can feel the difference, and sometimes even see it. Much Appreciated!

Not sure if they are selling all models in the US, but down here in Brazil they offer the TW55 both with the traditional 3 saddles bridge and with the 6 saddles bridge you see in this video.
