Love the vid. I am a GM2 Tracer, so not as good yet but I wanna share my experience here because I am not a content creator myself, hope Xyfer doesn't mind. I practice 10 minutes of VAXTA everyday, even if I don't play the rest of the day. It's a muscle. And the fun part is that it goes automatically after a while. You will be so amazed by yourself after a while where you perfectly track a character that bug-flies away after dying because your subconscious tracking. Also keep in mind that your engagement-time/use of cover/understanding of the different comps/ultcounting/positioning in general is superimportant because you will have to use less evasive manouvres. Okay, now Im gonna watch the rest of Xyfers content and try to climb to GM1 xD

@@ultraviolenc3 start easy and gradually move up every day again. The kind of movements the bots make on each "difficulty" are vastly different and you need to be able to track them all. Ie: hardest bots ADADAD strafe while "easy" bots make long but suddenly changed strafes.

something that helped me get masters on tracer, a TN monitor with black frame insertion. it causes you to feel really connected to the game because of the reduced motion blur. which increases your spatial awareness. now when i play tracer it feels like a sport where i move on instinct and not a video game. fps same as refresh rate results in the least amount of motion blur. also optimizing for input lag. i also play aim labs, it's good for making your aim instinctive which makes it faster (and you can think about the game instead of aiming) good video bro

I only partly agree. Once you hit GM your game sense will likely be what holds you back from competing in top500. The pace of the game and risk you have to take are like nothing I’ve ever experienced in any other game. But even with that, I noticed people in top500 almost always have better aim than most GM players.

I started playing overwatch 2 recently (2 months ago) and i hit top 500 (I had experience in league of legends because i was a GM player in the past, mainly in resource manegement so adapt myself was pretty easy) playing aimless tanks (Reinhart/Winston/Ramatra) because i really suck at aiming, now im trying to rank up in support and dps but i find myself feeling very fustraded when i cant hit my shots so i default to reaper/mei for dps and moira/brigg for supp, it feels like i cant do anything even when im well positioned and using my abilities properly because im not hitting my shots, but at the same time i want to play heroes that require aim but also have fun learning. Aimlabs and practice range seems like a lot of hard work and more like working than play and having fun, any recomendations for improving? or is the only way to improve and just should stick to heroes that require almost no aim?
@xyfer5031
@xyfer5031 Жыл бұрын
I always thought of Overwatch as an FPS version of lol. It’s still very impressive that you were able to adapt to Overwatch that quickly, good work with that. My recommendation: play only your favorite hitscan heroes for just 1 week. Log your accuracy from the start of the week to the end. Then get back to me. What gets measured gets improved.

At the star of the week with widow i had a 35% scoped 20% crit scoped At the end i had 50% scoped 30% crit scoped But there was huge swings, some games i was against much better players so they were harder to hit. With tracer i didn't notice any improves from the start at the end was very swingy as well, 26% and 11% crit, at the end of the week: 25% and 9% crit Bastion stayed at 20% all week

Nice tips. I have one question: did you do those exact steps to master your aim? How much time do I need to spend training on aimlab? Already use it for Valorant, (mostly used for flicking) and I want to get better at tracking, cause mine sucks.
@xyfer5031
@xyfer5031 Жыл бұрын
I began using each of the steps at different points in my career, so yes, I did these exact steps to master my aim. Although it is still not perfect. I wouldn't spend anymore than 20 minutes in Aimlab if you are also doing all the other steps. I play each of the aimlab gamemodes 2-3 times each before I start playing ranked. I hope this answered your question.

Observe whether or not you overshoot or undershoot most of the time. Then make an estimate of the sens you want. Once you have that number, gradually raise or lower your sense until you get to the target or if you don't want to wait, go right into playing with it. Play with that sens for a significant amount of time, say 1 month, and see how you perform. I used to change my sense all the time, once I stuck to one sens I liked, I was able to climb.
