Thanks to you I bought the X5 adventure kit. I love it. Take it anywhere and just have an hours fishing. Sorted. BTW. The folding fist eye is quite old tech. I had that on several beach casters way back in the early 90's. It is a brilliant addition to a travel rod and I'm glad that they've brought it back. 😀

Really glad you're enjoying the X5 and thanks for the comment! yeah it's a really cool feature isn't it. The X5 is based on an old school american travel rod too i believe, that was discontinued a long time ago

Great video buddy. Looks a nice rod although it would be a bit heavy for the type of lure Fishing I do . Rigged and ready certainly do some cracking gear. UK made and that’s something we can brag about and a guarantee 2nd to none !! .. anyways thanks to you I do have the fish rig 180 and the fish rig max and they are superb rods indeed ( thanks for that George 👍🏽😀) ….. I think my other half would pack my bags if I bought another rod so unfortunately I would have to blame you for that so you would have to make some room for me at yours !!! 🤣🤣🤣 . Anyway keep them videos coming buddy and the nights are getting lighter and the days are getting longer … that can only mean one thing !! More fishing 🎣 👍🏽😀.. all the best to you & yours buddy 👍🏽😀

Glad you enjoyed the video mate! Yeah rigged and ready really are at the top of their game at the moment. I'd agree this rod probably isn't best suited as a lure rod although i belive its out in america being used for snakeheads by someone 😂 The rods aren't actually UK made just designed, i did have a discussion about this with the founder. It was looked into, but in terms of RRP the exact same rod would have to be sold for over three times the price so it was ruled out. Hope you're well! 👍

Ive got a similar branded rod thats a 7 piece aswell its a 2.75 test curb it fits in my suitcase i use it for continental fishing in Spain and Greece with 4oz leads

Hi George a quick question if I may. Could you shorten the rod any more by leaving the section between the reel seat and the folding eye out or are they different diameters and would this affect the action any? Thanks in advance.

Hi mate, i think the gap would be a bit too big. Rigged and ready are coming out with loads of new tips at the moment though and i think there might actually be one that could do that. If you want me to ask let me know!

It’s a travel rod mate, not a specialist rod. There’s a difference, there’s always compromise when it comes to that, and no one’s expecting a £80 rod to compare to a £300 rod. This one is exceptional value for money

I can afford any rod I want but I'm still choosing this as it's a "Travel" rod not a 2 piece. You're not going to take a standard beach rod hiking are you. Use your brain.
