Hi, filmmaker and photographer here. I subbed to your chan because of your NC500 vids!. I've had this camera just under a month and love it, there is a smaller Lumix S5 out the end of this month which is just under the size of a GH5, similar spec to this with a fully articulated screen. Not as robust as the S1 though and has a silly micro hdmi out along with a few other concessions. CONSTANT PREVIEW - MENU - COG - CAMERA (six down) - CONSTANT PREVIEW ON. You can also tweak focusing and don't forget to upgrade the firmware for your lense and camera body. The next upgrade improves AF substantially. Also a great relatively low cost monitor you can use with this is a Portkeys P6. It's a lightweight 5" monitor you can use flip around to help film yourself. Finally, if you want to keep lens prices low I reccomend a Sigma MC-21 EF to L-Mount adapter so you can adapt cheaper EF lenses, though native lenses are better. 🙂

Awesome video!! Very interesting to see a filmmaker's review on this. Being in camera sales, the S range has alluded me so i've never gotten to play with one. I've recently just gotten into video being a stills shooter for many years, so I grabbed a Fuji X-H1. Any tips on editing for a complete novice? how did you learn to get so great at editing? Keep up the great work! also any van adventures planned soon?

2.15 into the video, your af and it not tracking your face, can hand on heart say this isn't an issue of use the correct settings in the continuous AF-c setup. I've had better results with the AF-c on the S1 than get on the sony A9ll. would be interested in how you have setup the AF.. and your preview is called constant preview on/off
