+CzarJuliusIII The US gov't is currently negotiating with Cuba on a civil aviation agreement. The Cuban government wants their national airline, Cubana, to have reciprocity to fly to the states (to make $$$) if US carriers are to be allowed to fly to Cuba commercially. There's a hitch: there are billions of dollars of lawsuit claims against the Cuban government in US district courts that were awarded (by default judgement, they never bothered to show up to defend themselves) for property seized by the communists after the revolution that was owned by American citizens. The Cuban government wants assurances that Cubana's planes won't be seized on arrival to satisfy those judgements.

Mike Brache I see. But that was over 50 years ago. Those people already need to get over it. There are some of us who are genuinely interested in seeing Cuba open up (tourism-wise) to the U.S. And it's crazy entitled Americans who think they can dictate whether the rest of us take interest in Cuba or not. They need to get over themselves.

+Gaz Matic Cut him some slack. lol. I also caught his mistake, but at least he visited Cuba. Most Americans will allow the stereotypes they've heard to prevent them from visiting Cuba, but Yafa educated himself. For that, he deserves the recognition.

if you count all those thousands cubans that flee from cuba they still dont sum a 2% of cubas population. and yeah i know a lot of cuban and i know their culture, they dont give a fuck if they dont have the last iphone, they find joy in small things like friends, sports, dancing, and party.
