Friday Night Funkin' is an open-source donationware rhythm game first released in 2020 for a game jam. The game was developed by a team of four Newgrounds users, Cameron "Ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r.

AW, I loved watching this, thank you so much 🥹 I’m going to tighten up the kebab sequence because I don’t think it’s your fault you kept getting stuck down there. It needs to be easier to recover when you fall. We kinda had to rush it a bit in time for gamescom. It will also be a lot harder when it’s done just needed to be easier for the show floor but I’m so glad you enjoyed it ❤❤

I first saw BBU when I saw a short about barnaby, I saw the gameplay and the art style (which is really close to a hat in time's art style) and instantly fell in love with it. I can't wait for this game to drop!

Honestly, the fact that both bosses (that I've seen so far) are catchy musicals has done the most to pique my curiosity regarding this game. It's on my list, for sure.

I've been following this game for a while, I love it so much! I'm so glad it getting recognition!! This is the game I've followed up on the most. From the voice acting to the animation quality is just perfection! The community is also very nice and accepting! I'm more than excited for this game to release.

This reminds me a lot of a hat in time with how creative and chaotic these bosses and general platforming looks, and especially with it's own twist of all being synced up to the music, this is now a game I'm also looking forward to releasing lmao

I haven't seen anything about this game since the public alpha with the Fantoccio bossfight, this video has immediately taken me from passively wanting to play it when it comes out to wanting to actively know everything being done on the game and wanting to play it yesterday. I am absolutely blown away by the amount of work that's been done since I last saw this game, like I knew it was going to be amazing as soon as I saw the first build, but this even exceeds my expectations.

It wasn’t! Hat in time wasn’t out when we started and we had no clue what that game was. But we did include it because the devs have been super sweet and supportive of us and we knew our audiences would love the cameo ❤

I learned about this game from the “A million gruesome ways to die” song, and honestly as catchy as the first boss song is, the second one can’t be beat. Probably since it’s a chase boss, which gives them infinite more control over how the level plays out and how long it takes

I've been foillowing them making this game before they even released Fantoccio's demo, I've been super excited for this game. The only thing I regret is not backing them on kickstarter when I had the chance, I was going to but I forgot to go back when I had the spare $ for the big bundle I wanted and by that time it was over T_T

8:26 yeah that character next to Barnaby is from a show called far-fetched I forgot the characters name though and I don't know what happened to the series because all the show was a short animation and I was really excited for the series
