I don't see a problem with games that look like movies, that is actual entertainment. But true, if I want to see a game being played, I don't go to the cinema, that's just weird. Then again, the world has an attention span of a gnat these days.

I would really like to see real (I'm sorry, I know this word will piss some people off) science-fiction movies and less of this diluted superhero crap. OK, some superhero movies are great and I love them, but there are so many great SciFi books out there just begging to be made into a movie.

EEAAO looks like the best thing on this list, followed by Dr Strange. Unfortunate that big studio film developers don't want to put the effort into creating an actual sci fi project. Especially given the more than 100 years of sci fi source material to work from. I try to visualize what Lem's 'The Cyberiad' or Shepard's 'Green Eyes' might look like as a movie.

Most are comic/fantasy movies. Sci-fi use to be built on 50% story, 50% imagination... Making the reader/viewer stand back with "What if??!!" as the soul asking question and how to take science fiction into science fact while balancing human nobility and heart. Now.. its just.. who needs humanity when you have a super-powered aliens battling each other with massive amounts of CGI..

I have a lot of respect for science fiction, it is a genre for discussing important ideas that are real and relevant to humanity. These movies are not science fiction, they are cartoons. Marvel is a company that produces cartoons and fantasies for kids. Calling these movies 'science fiction' is a joke.

Not one decent Sci-Fi/Fantasy movie in the league of movies like Aliens, original Star Wars, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings, etc. Same old crap being milked for as much money as possible and plenty of mugs willing to hand over the money. How many different ways can you retell the Batman story pluis it seems like Marvel/DC Comics have a never-ending selection of superheroes to churn out and sell to people. Even Disney is throwing away the wonder of the Star Wars franchise and coming out with so many Star Wars projects this year in an attempt to milk that particular cow dry.

so, basically the same premises, every year, movies get worse and worse fighting, chasing, no compelling story, just slap a super hero into it and it will make money. The thing is, if the super hero is there, i know for a fact that he will win somehow.... so yeah, not gonna waste my time with that kind of crap

I wouldn't mind seeing a Laundry Files movie, but I don't trust hollywood to do it justice. It would be better if it was produced by the people who brought us Afro Samurai If you want true science fiction, you have to read books. not watch hollywood.

Roland Emmerich sollte einen Film über Deutschland drehen - idiotische Katastrophenfilme hat der drauf. Ansonsten, hab ich den Eindruck, hat sich Hollywood zurück in die Pubertät entwickelt und hat nicht vor, da raus zu wachsen. Es ist einfach nur unglaublich, dass es ausser der Comic-Verfilmungen, keine neuen Ideen gibt.

Marvel- comic movies should not be classed as Science fiction, they should be fantasy fiction. Most of these movies are tripe. same old unoriginal CGI tripe!
