A very sad fact about modern day Hollywood, a person transported from 1985 would recognise all but 4 of these franchises and unless there is a major plot twist Civil War is not Sci-Fi.

Civil War looks like it will be good, but it has a major plot problem. Texas and California would be more likely on opposite sides fighting each other than they would be in forming an alliance. They ideological polar opposites. Would be more plausible if Florida an Texas formed an alliance. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is not a Mad Max saga. A Furiosa sage sure. A Road Warrior sage sure. A prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road sure. Without the main character Maximillian for which all the Mad Max titles are named after, it really isn't a Mad Max sage. With that said, it still looks like a good Road Warrior action flick. I like the original Planet of the Apes movies, but the re-imagined movies are good too. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes looks to be no exception. Looking forward to watching it. Dune: Part 2 is the one I'm most looking forward to. Godzilla x Kong looks like it might be the best of the two franchises. Madam Web is another Marvel thing. I'll watch when nothing else is available and I probably even enjoy it. Kraven the Hunter looks good. Hope it doesn't disappoint. Deadpool 3 what else is there to say, it's a Deadpool movie. Ryan Reynolds just makes it work.

I'm guessing that the fact that California & Texas are together suggests there is a twist. And the line "what kind of American are you?" leads on to this. I'm guessing a battle movie but Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Or some other take-over-the-minds trope. Let's see!

The sheer ignorance of a belief that Texas and California could ever ally with each other over anything is so absurd that the thought is just impossible to fathom. An American would be hard pressed to name two states that are more fundamentally different in their ways of thinking.
