It should be criminal to even suggest that in mumbai “fancy” vada pav can better raste ka vada pav. AC main milta hain theek hain, but better nahin hain.

I went all the way to Dadar from Dombivali to eat Ashok's Vadapav. It cost 25₹ for one and its sucks man! I had better Vadapav at ₹15 much better than Ashok's. The Chutney was good and chura was crispy. But 25₹ wasn't worth at all. It's hype!

I agree I was a student at Kirti college I have only eaten the Ashok's vada pav twice and I didn't like it both time, I preferred the Gadi vala vada pav over this, It's not about the price it's about the taste.

A worthy contender for the vada pav would be the Kunj Vihar, Thane for its monster size of a vada, the large and huge double pav. The best part, you can have as much chutney u want ..

Abe gavar, he's talking about the consistency. South Indian chutneys are usually thick and dense. Most of the street joints selling Vada Pav have a very thin & watery chutney.
