@@CaitlinShoemaker There's a discussion going on about your cultural appropriation and the way you've sort of shoved your bad behaviour with going to Israel under the rug... are you going to address any of this or continue to appropriate other cultures? Can't you make white people vegan meals?

I've watched your channel off and on for a long time. I'm really glad that you are doing so well. I'm buying your book, something that I've wanted to do since I first heard your announcement video on it. It will be my first vegan recipe book as I don't own or buy 'cookbooks' (since I can Google anything). You have a beautiful energy, and thank you for the peaceful vibe that you always give to people and their day. It's greatly appreciated. Your recipes always include a wide variety of delicious foods, and they are always simple, accessible, interesting, healthy, comforting, fun, and hands-down the absolutely best overall collection of delicious recipes of any other channel. And, I've watched many. I feel like you've really put your heart into the book, and I will treasure that about it. But also, I will love making the recipes. Thanks again, and kindest of wishes for you and your continued, and growing, success. 💜🌻🌱

This was soooo good! Day old rice is a must. I almost think it needs more salt to taste familiar, but it also makes you wonder actually how much sodium is in the take out version. LOTS. 😬🧐 Still great though!

Part of the trick making fried rice is not just cooling, but drying out the rice overnight before cooking. A great hack to achieve this involves spreading out the rice on a cookie (baking) sheet in the fridge overnight. Using this method more surface area of the rice is exposed to the air.

Caitlin will culturally appropriate any food she can make money off of. She's been asked repeatedly to educate herself on the cultures and food she's eating and won't. Like the time she had a paid trip to Israel to learn how to make hummus and was all 'please don't get mad at me I don't keep up with politics'.

@@HelenPoodle I didn't follow her back then but I remember that she made quite a few videos where she talked to people of the culture she recreated food off and did a video or a KZfaq-post (don't remember) on being vegan and racism refering to BLM and charities.

@@n00n3ynight I did a quick scour of her channel before making this comment, and nothing about it actually says BLM to me. A couple of posts when your platform is this big and your career almost depends on other cultures food is performative. @CaitlinShoemaker

You can, but I wouldn't here. I generally dont - freezing changes the texture and the tofu is more spongy/crispy when baked. Here you want it to mimic a softer egg texture so I wouldnt do that
