I'm working on my Top 2022 Easter Eggs video which includes a lot of easter eggs I haven't shown on this channel. There were some that didn't make it on that list, so this is kind of a 'best of the rest' type video. I also threw in some more easter eggs from years past that I had in my back catalog. The Payday 2 giant creature is a part of both in game and irl lore to what are called Nephlim. Irl Nephlims are what are known in biblical stories as the children of fallen angels and men and are known for being huge in size from just being absurdly tall to colossal in size. The guy David kills, Goliath, in the og text is called a Nephlim. In the Payday 2 story Nephlims are an alien race that came down to earth and brought vast technology.

Damn, John really went all out on all of those secret easter egg hunters, didn't he? Well I mean he's not wrong, but still...

Your videos are so entrancing. The lack of narration, lo-fi music and S-tier editing make for some of the best gaming content on KZfaq. The little details like the 3D model of the game cases as opposed to a screenshot of the cover is just so impressive. Keep up the amazing work Guru! Payday 2 and Black Flag are the types of hidden easter eggs that always stick with me. Creepy, mysterious and so self-aware.

I watched the first easter egg many times, but this is the first time I knew about the paintings referencing it. This is why I love Guru.
